What is the point in the bad sport system?

I have 2 problems with GTA online

 

1) the glitches have ruined the game.

 

2)the bad sport system

 

 

Firstly how can Rockstar release a game they developed for 4+ years with all these glitches? Why didn't they have a beta? Everybody has mostly exploited the glitches and bought everything valuable online to the extent that now money means nothing.

 

Secondly this bad sport system, what is the point in it? okay so I'm not allowed to blow up people's cars? well in every game, all I see is people driving around in their cars, so how am I supposed to avoid blowing up their cars? I rarely see people on the streets. GTA for me was best when you could do what you wanted. The freedom of the game has been taken away. I want to have full blown wars with other players like I did on IV, but I can't due to this bad sport system.

 

Also I'm just wondering what the good sports do online? do you guys just play tennis? do you just drive around in your fancy cars grinning? I want to know how you enjoy being a good sport.

 

I don't enjoy doing online missions that much. I also don't enjoy doing races for obvious reasons. So what am I supposed to do? All I want to do is have wars with other people. What else can you do online? other than doing missions.

 

What is the point in the tank? You can't kill anybody using the tank because everybody is mostly in their cars, so you end up becoming a bad sport.

Just by you ADMITTING that you get the "bad sport" title a lot indicates to me that I don't want to play GTAO with you because you're probably a f*cking asshole in the game.

When a player gets bad sport it means that they kill other players randomly, steal personal vehicles and destroy them, and frequently drop out in the middle of missions. It's the game's way of letting legit players know who to stay the hell away from.

 

If all you want to do is run around and randomly kill other people, the game will grant you your wish because every time you get the bad sport title, you can only play online with other bad sports, i.e. people like you.

Bad sport system needs to be changed, I agree.

There are a lot of times where explosives are the best, or even the ONLY option to get out of a situation, but they punish you for it. What do you do if 4 guys in a car come up to you and you happen to be on foot? Try to outgun them, or use a rocket launcher and take them all out? The smart thing would be to just take all of em' out. But you get labeled as a bad sport if you do that. So you're basically screwed.

 

The bad sport system is just broken. I can't believe developers of such an ambitious game didn't think about these obvious problems.

I don't kill random players. I go after specific players in my tank, but other players try to steal my tank and end up driving into my tank so I end up getting a bad sport ranking. Also what do you do online then? I'm interested

Just keep doing what you`re doing and you will be put in bad sport lobbies - if anything, kill more cars. Those are the fun lobbies, with players like yourself, man. Trust me.

Why are they not punishing the spawnkillers?

Instead, I'm punished for defending myself, as I happen to blow up someones car after they attack me FIRST.

Why is HE not the one being punished for being a bad sport? I generally leave people alone unless they kill me.

It's just that in my case, the best course of action was to use explosives against him.

 

Stop trying to come up with reasons that this broken system works, because it doesn't. It's a worthy idea, and I understand why they implemented it, but it just doesn't work in a way that punishes people who actually deserve it.

Well, if that's how you want to play then eventually you will end up with other players that want to play the same way.

 

I fully agree the system needs an overhaul. My characters face is all scarred up because I defend myself against bad sports. Shouldn't be this way. Also, if there is going to be 'bad sport' sessions, I want a way to join those!

I do agree. The bad sport system coupled with the penalty for dying forces you to be more passive.

The times that I had the most fun in GTA IV was when everyone was at the airport just having a good time, taking people out and teaming up with other people. In V, I've missed doing that and online feels less enjoyable because of it.

Rockstar should of implemented PvP lobbies where anything is allowed. I wouldn't mind being thrown into the bad sport lobbies if I didn't have to wear the sh*tty dunce hat. Also I hate not being able to play with people

I don't see how this GTA can last 4+ years like IV did. Eventually people on V will get bored of being good sports and will want to have wars again.

I Kill white dots if they get too close to me, or I Snipe them from a distance. Red dots to.
