What happened to players supposedly dropping all theiron hand cash upon death? Its barely anything that drops. Ive even tested Iit with friends. No point to warn us to transfer it cuz it doesnt drop... Am I missing something?

Apparently you drop any money over 5k if you are carrying it but ive not tested it.

You will only drop $100 no matter what you have on you.

 

The only reason to transfer your cash into a bank is the chance of another player sending a mugger to rob you. He will take everything on you but you do have a chance to catch him for a while before it's lost for good.

It's because the mugger takes all of your wallet cash ( I think) but I've never had any with over 2k on them and haven't tested yet. Most I've had is around 2k plus it's a 10 minute cool down and it's hard enough to actually get the mugger to kill them and catch him anyway. I always pay 1k to mug and get 0 return

Pretty ridiculous. Who cares if nubs complain. The most fun would be finding players who just robbed a store and taking it from them. What happens when heists come and the leader decides to take all the cash and not split? Then u kill him to get ur money but nooo it dont work. There is absolutely no point to having cash and bank separate. And ive tested it with over 5k. It dies nothing

Why do we need to hire a mugger in grand theft auto? Why can't we mug people? I don't even think real criminals ever thought about hiring a mugger.

the mugger only ever takes 2k i sent him after my mate who had 18k and he took 2k even then i didnt get the 2k mugger keeps it unless u kill him quick

I mean, they'd have to make you drop all your money every time you die, otherwise people would just start killing themselves to escape PvP.

This wouldn't b a big deal had this feature not been so hyped up b4 release. Every online tips article even says to deposit ur money asap. The freaking game itself tells u to deposit ur money asap...

Same, I consider it a pretty big oversight, personally. We not only have a banking system, but you can use it from your phone. There's no reason why we shouldn't drop our wallet when we die (and hell, since you always spawn nearby, you could even try to get it back).

I've tested this, had 100k in cash and asked a friend to kill me.

 

Money dropped was: 460....

A guy opened fire on me when I was driving. To cut a long story short i killed him and got 11k from him. Never got that much from another player since
