Hi,

 

You can only own one property at a time, currently. (Many people hope that R* will update this in the future when new DLC starts being added.)

 

Apartments all have garages built in. The largest garages are 10 car garages, making this the current maximum you can store.

 

If you move apartment, the cost of the original property will be recovered, so each property is an asset.

 

If your garage is full, you can choose to swap cars (which you want to store as your owned cars.) I presume that if you swap a large garage for a smaller one, you must choose which cars to retain (although I don't know why you'd do this really.)
