Abusing The Bounty System...

So a few minutes ago I was in a session with a bunch of immature kids and should of expected this, but one said through the mic "im gonna just start putting bounties over people" and what do you know, I have a bounty over my head. So I'm wondering if this has happened to any of you.

 

I think bounties should only be placed if that person has killed you and you want some retaliation instead of doing it yourself. What do you guys think?

Hmm i dont set bounties on everyone, but, when i want to feel the power, i call merryweather, sit on my couch and see him dying haha.Its pretty funny when these hulks are coming and the player wants to get away, unsuccessfully

It's a nice idea, but people use it too much. They should change it to something like making it cost at least - say 20k and bounty given out about a third of that or so. Wouldn't miss it if it where to vanish in an update

I agree 100%. The bounty system will probably be revamped once they see how some people are using it. Im still on the run no one has capped me yet haha.

There are 'inside traders' of bounty hunting. They kill, get a bounty placed on them, then they have a partner or friend come kill them and they split the bounty take.

I don't get this bounty stuff. If I put a $10K bounty on somebody, doesn't it cost me $10K? From what you guys are saying, it sounds like I can throw bounties on people at little cost to myself. ???

stealing cars will give you a bounty of 7000,-, just play an empty server untill the bounty wares off.

The Bounty System and the Merry Weather mercenaries for people that killed you. They should also get rid of the $1,000 bounty to make a $12,000 bounty.

 

Still I feel its a waste of money having a $8,000 bounty and up cause the Merry Weather mercenaries do it better.

i didn't get bounties quite that way, i've gotton bounties for no reason at all (sometimes i've gotton them just by logging on) and sometimes i've gotton a bounty placed on me after a mission.

Lol i always steal cars so i randomly get bounty's on my head ranging from 1000-9000! If i have a friend in the game too i always try and have him pop me haha ain't got time to deal with people chasing all over for me, Tho it has its moments..

you only need to last 1 day in game and then you get what ever they put on you

I really want to thank all the random bored millionaires putting up the bounties. I go in a random server, I get 9k bounties then go back to my homies' crew only session and have a blast. We also get the money after an hour. Great way to farm, while you farm lol.
