Mugger

This is seriously the most dumb thing I have ever seen. You mug a player and then have to kill the mugger to get the money when everyone in the lobby is notified where the mugger is? How does this benefit you at all and why is this a level 50 thing? Am I missing something?

EDIT: sorry. Totally didn't see the other topic on the front page about them. My bad. Though mines a little different of a question.

I ran through the mission potshot over and over just be able to use the mugger. Its decent money and if you wait for the van to come across the bridge and take the driver out you are home free. The MG unlocked at level 50 was just a bonus to me. The first time I used the mugger on a tank operator because I read the mugger can at times drive off with their tank. I watched at my apartment on the tv as my mugger pulled them out and took off in their tank. I'm sure it was like 15 minutes they persuded my mugger until giving up. Besides getting a good laugh from that rare occurance its wasting your money but if you have the excess cash why not. Though I didn't know the person you send the mugger after knows who sent it until I was called a pansy

I think the mugger was originally supposed to give you the money, as one of Lamar's successful-mugging-notification-calls says something along the lines of "We got him. Here you go." I assume that the "here you go" part is supposed to be followed by you receiving the stolen amount directly into your bank account, just as you get the $1000 back when Lamar calls to say his mugger can't find the target.

I use the mugger all the time. I love it when he manages to jack someones tank or a car, it's funny as hell and totally worth it even if most of the time I don't get the money. 1000$ for the mugger is cheap, it's probably only expensive for the lowest peasants..

I once mugged someone out of his jet when he was at the airport taking a break.. First thing the mugger did was retract the landing gear slaming its bottom on the ground, go full throttle and tried to steer it as a car and crashed/exploded into the hanger.

The mugger is one of the best things there is, its so funny to see and to do it to your friends.

Setting:

step1 call a muggler on your friend, tell your friend you are picking him up with the chopper.

step2 Hover above him while he is watching and you are telling him to w8 a second, you are landing ...

Step 3 ...

Step 4 Laugh loud

Step 5 have a nice day

I was with a crew mate and a friend last night, and we kept taking turns mugging this one kid who wouldn't shut up in the room. I think out of the 10 times we had him mugged, the most money the mugger got out of him was 11 bucks. It averaged between 2 and 6 bucks.

To me, the mugger is just a way to inconvenience another player, or to stick two fingers up at them. I never do it for the money. In fact, the mugger is the one that gets the biggest reaction from other players. 9 times out of 10 they feel the need to call me a pussy and tell me to face them myself. I do lol. To a troll, *any* negative response means you won.

In summary, for me muggers are for trolling and for teh lulz.

This..

Can be quite useful if someone's gunning for you and totally focused on where you're in cover..

Mugger gives them the once over, you dive out of cover, run full steam at them and fill em with lead..

Good way to spend $1k..
