AI Bounties

Has anyone else got a bounty for stealing an AI's vehicle even after you've killed them? Some guy was chasing me down about to shoot at me so I pulled a ped out of his vehicle, killed him with a baseball bat and sped off. A few seconds later I get a text from an unknown caller and the text said "You stole my car! I'm gonna have you killed" and then I get a 3K bounty on my head. Did the ped descend from the heavens and steal my ID or what? lmao

Your character is, according to Lester, pretty well known in Los Santos, so the victim knowing your name/face isn't too outrageous. But for him to put the bounty on you afterwards? That is.

Maybe the owner was lending the car to a friend/relative and was more angry about the car then you killing their friend/relative?

I played a solo game and murdered a guy with a hammer to get his car. No-one could have heard or seen that. But I still got a bounty somehow. R* servers were so broken it would have taken days for someone to even connect to online at this point, and I was playing SOLO, so I really didn't see the point of this bounty.

That is a good point which would explain why peds know who you are, I forgot about Lester saying that! But yeah.. after they've been killed they shouldn't be able to place bounties lol!

I had actually considered that and then I realized.. well how would the owner of the car know I did it if they weren't there lol!

The game -is- online. Why should Rockstart cater to you because you chose to play by yourself?

This happened to me 2 times today. I jacked a ride, crushed the owner with said ride and not 30 seconds later I get the text.

 

Second time I shot the bastard dead and still get a bounty. At least give me a 9k bounty. This 3k sh*t is stupid.
