How to set a bounty on someone and what it does?

Title? I loved possies on RDR that was amazing hehe! Leveling up horses and stuff

Anywho what does the bounty do and how do you set one

Set it by phoning Lester and selecting the player you want to put a bounty on.

 

Then that player with show up as a red dot on the map telling people there is a bounty on him, the person who kills him gets a bounty reward.

 

Costs about $7000 i think per bounty.

you unlock it at lvl 10

you call lester and choose another player (lvl 10 or higher)

and you pay lester between 2 and 10 K, 1K goes to lester the rest to whoever kills the bounty

 

so minimum bounty is 1000 and maximum is 9000

It's starting to piss me off. I'm a serious player, don't go around shooting people or smashing up cars I've never done any bad sport things I just mind my own business do the missions and save up for an apartment, and every time I play the game no matter how many times I get killed, somebody keeps putting a $7000 bounty on me.

Steal many cars? Get a message from unknown when you get the bounty? Welcome to GTA.

if you steal too many cars or kill too many pedestrians sometimes the npcs will put a bounty on you for stealing their car or killing someone they liked... that boun ty can range from 1-9k same as player bounties.

 

but if you really want to have someone killed.. get to 35 and call mercenaries on them.. costs 7500 but guarentees they die or you get your money back... if they go to their apartment and hide you get your money back since the mercs would fail.

 

and you can watch the whole thing on the tv... when some kid starts shouting on the mic... i send mercs after him... should teach that little kid not to play this game ;D

Yeah it is unknown that keeps messaging telling me that I've stolen there car and that I've got to watch my back and I've got a $7000 bounty but I only really drive my own car apart from when my car is destroyed.
