Aircraft purchase recommendations

Tried searching on here and through Google but didn't really find what I was looking for. I apologize if there's already a topic about this, if there is then could someone with more internet kung fu than me please link it?

Anyway, I'm saving money up to buy some sort of flying machine and I've watched some YouTube videos of different types but I was hoping if folks have bought some of the planes or helicopters maybe you could give some pros and cons of ownership of whichever one you've bought? Why you like or dislike it? Features it has, etc.

 

Since it's a significant investment I'm just trying to gather some more information before I make a purchase.

 

Also - on the Elias website (and the car websites for that matter) why are some of the vehicles just a blank picture? If people are going to buy them shouldn't they be able to see what they look like instead of having to look them up on the real internet? Minor thing but kind of annoying.

I just got the stunt plane, I think it's called the Mallard. I like it a lot, it's very maneuverable and pretty fast. My only gripe is that it can be hard to control in stormy weather due to the turbulence and it being a small, light plane. Still fun to fly around in. Oh and it's also just a one-seater.

The blank pictures for some listings indicates content that's been added to the website for GTA:O. If you need to know what something looks like, just google it.

 

edit: And most/all are flyable in single player,if you want to test them out first hand. You're the one who has to get used to whatever you buy anyway.

I've found a few but it seems most are from the single player or just people showing how to "get one" in the online mode, not really a review of its different features or how it flies, stuff like that.

Personally I like the private jet, fastest aircraft but slowest to turn and has a lot of weight to it. The buzzard is also very good, it has a mini gun and rockets with lock on. Any of the 2 person planes are good too. It's really up to what you want and why.

There is no point in buying any planes or helicopters. They'll all start spawning for you on helipads and at the airport at higher levels.

Thanks for the info. That's the problem, I don't really know exactly what I want yet. The private jet does look badass but the buzzard is popular too and it has weapons. How many players can you have in the buzzard?

Not true at all. Attack choppers are very useful in higher level missions

4 people and the co-pilot can fire missiles. It's more accurate this way but the rockets travel slower.

Sounds like the buzzard is a fine fit? It costs like 1.7 mil I think and min level 37 ( I think!)

Don't buy the planes. I hate planes. With only a couple landing strips you can land on, basically its a point a to b. Choppers on the other hand can land anywhere you want. Middle of the city or the road.

You can find most of the planes spawned at the airport when you get to a higher level. The annihilator, buzzard, and titan spawn for me at the airport. The private jet and buzzard also spawn for me out at Trevors airfield.
