I love racing dirty.

pretty sure i bought GTA and not Carebear racing 2013.

Yep, I bet you love being shoved off the road and getting stuck just when you're about to win.

I bet you LOVE it.

that necro bump doe...

I had a great race earlier, me and some guy were in first and second for an entire race slip streaming each other cleanly.

I won by 0.2 seconds, we exchanged messages after the race and thanked each other for having a good clean race.

The best type of races. Exciting, and fun.

Racing clean doesn't exist there, either. I own it, trust me, I know.

The only place people race clean is real life, and that's because if they crash they ruin their car and possibly die. Even then, there's idiots who hit others in real life as well.

Too many people abuse the racing system. They start a race and bump you off the road then you spin out and end up in last place. It'll be better when non-contact races are added into the game.

If you think you can hang , try joining the Apex Stalkers, I thought I was good, these guys are something else, I rarely come in first place anymore...

These guys are pretty good. No wrecking, well... except for the first turn O_0 I don't understand why it's so hard to not hit people on the first turn, but anyway. They're fast around corners and know their tracks well, racing is all they do, racing for me is something I like to do on the side.

Some f*cking dickhead cut me off in first place because he had no skill himself, he got lapped twice. First, he smashed me off the road. Before I could catch up, he smashed me again, then parked in front of me so I couldn't move. First to DNF, all because of ONE dickbag in a pink Adder. All I wanted was to save for this new car, and Mr. Douche comes along and ruins everything.

His name was Bullsfan88, if you see him or know him, tell him he's a dick.

This happens with nearly every time I get the lead in a lap race. Some douche is always driving the opposite way going after me. I don't mind people playing dirty, but if you have no chance at winning, just get out of the way.

Oh I had someone trying to kill me as soon as we started an air race...

He ended killing himself and literally gave me the victory :p

At first I didn't pit people, and went crazy when I got crashed into in almost all races.

Then I decided I'd do like them, pitting eveybody without exceptions, and started to win a lot of races from that moment. That's when I started to get hate messages to which I responded with something like : "I used to be like you, but I realized if you don't do it yourself, someone WILL do it to you".

Than I became somewhat more reasonable, targetting only players who deserve it. I seem to win less races though.

I race cleanly until people ram me, then everyone is a potential target. Had a great Super Car race yesterday though. Got rammed a few times on Long Haul point-to-point race, so I drove defensively and rammed those who tried to ram my car from behind after I let them pass. Then that part near the LSC close to docks where you go down over the bridge and up past Ammunation, people started to play real dirty. Somehow I was knocked spinning into the air, and was bouncing in a straight line on some cars passing underneath me. They literally carried me up the hill past Ammunation lol. I actually won the race though. Best partly-playing-dirty race ever for me :colgate:

When I'll race dirty:

  1. You're host and abusing the rules, like turning on a strange car class (like coupes) and win with a modded one, or you've made a custom race which is so retarded only the biggest retard can win.
  2. You're racing dirty.
  3. I'm trying to pass you, but you're blocking me. That = me hitting you off the road.

I race clean where at all possible - the only time I spin folks is when countering an attempt to spin me. When I see someone lining me up to nudge my back end, I wait for them to swerve toward me and I slam on the brakes... so instead of hitting my rear with their front wing, they catch MY front wing with THEIR rear, they spin out, I drive off...

The one downside I've found when I DO find a room full of clean racers, is they are usually buddies/crew members, and intentionally take turns to slipstream each other, creating a constant chain of boosted speed.... if you're too far behind to get a piece of that, you'll fall further and further back, no matter how flawlessly they race, as they keep riding the endless wave of slip streams with each other right up till the final yards of the race.

I race clean and hate when others play like it's a destruction derby. But when someone rams into me and I'm sure he did it on purpose, I make sure I retaliate on him only.

Like someone said before me, have a look at joining Apex Stalkers if you're sick of ramming and would like to enjoy some clean racing. GTAO is actually an amazingly varied racing game if you race with the right people.

And no, we don't only race at Apex Stalkers :D We've actually had a Golf Tournament twice, with 18 people participating the first time and about 12 the second time, we have car meets, there's an Easter Egg Hunt on for this evening and there's always some kind of free roam madness going on as well.

Have a look at our forums if you're interested:

There's no point. I do try to race properly, and will pass people by not ramming them. But pretty much every time they catch up again, I end up being rammed or someone else does it.

Even when they have space to go in front they will still ram you. People's brains are f*cked.

Oh the "clean racer" BS again..... :panic:

Rubbin is racin kids, but it looks like R* has listened to all your crying and will be giving you a no contact option. Now you can run your time trials and trade wins with your so called "Racing Crews"

Seriously people, let them try and nudge you... time it right, slam on your brakes as they swerve toward you, and they'll catch the FRONT of your car with their rear, and THEY are the ones that get spun.

Practice that, and 9/10 when people try and ram you off, they are the ones who come off worst...

We'll never stop people from intentionally trying to be dicks - some contact in racing is good (the non-contact option is gonna be gay beyond belief), so just learn to come out on top when they try and spin you out, it's really worth it.

All you guys in this thread are fantastic,so you guys are using gta as an excuse for your lack of sportsmanship & resorting to lowly cheap shots to win?

Just join one of the race crews. Lots of very good racers who race fair. The races are much more fun - often with 3 or 4 people finishing within a few seconds.

Plus racing crew tend to make loads of great tracks for real racing and not just 10 jumps in a straight line that you can drive around the side of anyway.

Had a couple of bad experiences in races where most of the others were in a crew - they just take turns slip streaming each other, giving them a massive advantage, that those not in the clique can't get in on and get left in their dust...

They're not ALL like that, but it is very common to see - to the point where if I enter a room and there's 3 or more from the same crew, I don't stick around for more than that 1 race.

If the host has "catch up on", then he's asking for it. Otherwise I race clean, unless someone starts ramming me.

Most of the racing crews won't be using ghost mode. I won't for sure when I host I turn off all the crutches.

I also notice one thing, not aimed specifically at this thread but players in general, it is almost always someone with a very low race record that starts bitching about clean racing. Once you get the required wins for the unlocks there really is no need to win anymore and for the most part people stop worrying about it so much. I know for me it almost doesnt matter anymore. I hold to my standards and represent my crew at all times. I just laugh off whatever happens in a race because it often is just fun.

Last night I got completely wiped out of first half way through the race and ended up back of the pack. I cleanly wove my way through the field back to second and the guy that wiped me was in first. When I came up to pass him in the last turn I guess he tried to block and I caught his tail spinning him around.

I immediately got on the mic and said "sorry man", parked in the middle of the street, tapped my horn twice and let him retake the lead. I ended up with third as another was able to take advantage.

We did a couple more races in the same group and this person never slammed me off the road again.

Why, you say? That's just the way Red Rum Racing rolls and I always represent.

If you get in a room with a bunch of RRR1 tags...don't fear...you will be treated the same as crew...race clean and you will enjoy yourself...race dirty and you will get the boot. Edited by LuapYllier

Sometimes we let the dirty racer stay :D.

Only because with catch up and slip stream off they spend most of the race in the back anyways. :(

They usually have like 15 seconds of dirty time at the start and then fade to the back
