Clarification of a few terms

Since the majority of the community doesn't seem to understand the difference between an exploit, a glitch, and farming... I thought I would try to clear this up a bit.

The definition, or closest I could find that would be relevant here, is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploit_(computer_security)

"An exploit (from the verb to exploit, in the meaning of using something to one’s own advantage) is a piece of software, a chunk of data, or sequence of commands that takes advantage of a bug, glitch or vulnerability in order to cause unintended or unanticipated behaviour to occur on computer software, hardware, or something electronic (usually computerised)."

"A 'local exploit' requires prior access to the vulnerable system and usually increases the privileges of the person running the exploit past those granted by the system administrator" - Excerpt from a bit further down.

As you can see, The farming method on RR, VD, TPG, that involved blowing up an objective that you weren't suppose to and still passing the mission... was an exploit. Not the farming it's self, but the method of the farming.

It is my opinion that the definition of "farming" is as follows: The act of repeating the same event or sequence of events to maximize your available gain. Farming in it's self, is not a bad thing. In fact, alot of people like this method of playing, and in the past Rockstar has supported it in their games. You may not like farmers, but you do not have the right to tell them how to play the game. Would you like it if farmers got together and pushed to get rid of all mission variation so they didn't have to look for farming missions?

Now I come to my last point, A glitch: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glitch#Video_game_glitches

"Glitches/Bugs are software errors that can cause drastic problems within the code, and typically go unnoticed or unsolved during the production of said software. These errors can be game caused or otherwise exploited until a developer/development team repairs them"

The acts of "Glitching" and "exploiting" often go hand-in-hand. To sum up, I will say this: The act of farming a mission via exploiting the glitch that allowed the objective to be blown up will not be punished by Rockstar, if they continue with their current policy regarding such things.

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/7941/red-dead-cheaters-and-hackers-be-warned-the-ban-hammer-is-coming.html
^ This, I believe, sums up Rockstar's policy on Exploiters, glitchers, and hackers. However, this is not to say that they won't punish the people that exploited to ridiculous amounts. That will always remain a possibility.

Have I cleared up these terms for some people? Any counter-points? Can anyone find fault in my reasoning? Perhaps evidence that they will be striking back against exploiters/glitchers? Discuss, and let's keep it a civil exchange of ideas, please.

You know, I expected more from someone in the UK. Being in America, I deal with my fair share of unintellectual nonsense. Guess I see now that idiots are a universal plague. You should be ashamed of yourself, kid.

Bump. I'd like for this to get some exposure. Hopefully this will amend people's assumptions about these terms, and clear up the forums a bit.

The problem I have with the above is... was it? The only people who know for sure are the programmers. Given it happens across a few missions, maybe not, maybe just a way people made money too easily and was nerfed. Bike sale glitch, definitely, but this? Hard to see any consequences.

Disclaimer. Have been in 1, maybe 2 missions (and have never done the bike sale glitch) where this happened, so no skin in the game.
