When you go to the airport IRL and get angry at Pegasus for not delivering your private jet.

 

When you actually try to break into a military base and steal a fighter jet.

 

When you get a bounty and go to bed, then dream of how to escape.

 

When you think that people will just get scared out of their car when you approach them with a gun instead of speeding away.

 

When you think that carrying a rocket launcher around is perfectly legal but scratching a cop car isn't.

 

When you think that destroying a private aircraft is not a problem because Pegasus can just get you another one for $200.

 

When you finally go outside and wonder why there is no radar beside you and why there aren't just 16 people around (I'm on PS3).

Another site had a top 10 addictive games list which made me do a Google search for GTA addiction and I found this topic, i couldn't resist making a profile to comment, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

I knew a guy who was addicted to gta online. He's wake up at 7am and play all day while his wife went to work, then play all day til he went to sleep and ignore his kid and do nothing else. Eventually his wife got fed up. She broke his Xbox and snapped his gta disk in half, and kicked him out the house and filed for divorce. This loser then moves into his dad's basement and borrows money off the crew leader in gta for a new Xbox and a gta disk.

This is 100% true story I kid you not.

I see a lot of ppl addicted but not to that extreme, but you'd swear these ppl live in Los santos.

 

I played a lot of gta and would say I was addicted ( recovered addict. The game got stale to me lol) but I always made sure my life situation was handled during the day and made time for ppl in my life. And played at night.

-you get nervous around cops even if you did nothing illegal,you´re afraid that they will start shooting at you for standing near them like cops in GTA 5

-you recognize songs on the radio because you heard them in GTA

-you start calling vehicles by their in game names

-you see a Range Rover and you get an urge to steal it and sell it to the nearest chop shop for $9000

-you see a car or bike you like and think "I wish it would be as easy to get it in real life as it is in GTA,just stealing it and driving it in your garage"

No reason .. yeah rightTruth be told I've been playing GTA:O legit since November 2013 (ignoring the billionaire days), was level 190 with full 3 car garages, grinded for every dime I earned ingame...

Several days ago I tried to connect and got a prompt that my character slot 1 was corrupted, and I was given the option to overwrite my save.

 

Long story short, I lost millions in car upgrades, outfits, heist gear, you name it. I had to start from scratch.

*sigh*

I'm level 14 now, and I'd do it all over again.

 

 

(but for real if you know any modders hit me up because the money struggle is real feel me)
