Bad Sport fix:

So, let us think about the term, "bad sport." Usually reserved for people not playing fairly, being an out right dbag or even intentionally ruining a good time.

 

So, why should people be penalized for playing like a good sport? For example if you hunt me down in free roam to kill me (which I completely support because that is a fun aspect to the game) I should be able to defend myself in any way I see fit. If you are firing bullets at me and I hide behind cover until you reload, then pop out and shoot you, that is just being smart. The same principle applies to you chasing me in your car; iam going to blow it up if you are using it as a means to try to kill me. It only makea sense, it is called cutting your enemy off at the knees. That is not being a bad sport. If that is, then killing one of my crew members is because that cost him medical bills as well as hurts my crews rep and kdr.... A bad sport should be based on if some one is cheating or super abusing the system like glitching a wall or shooting the objects.

I agree, but how should an automatic system detect if you're cheating, shooting through walls, etc? It's easy as hell to make a system which pubishes everyone destroying a certain vehicle. It sucks, yes, but it's a simple code. It should just be taken out and leave it to votekick.

Rockstar seem to be penalizing players for a play style.

 

The whole point of GTA is to go around the city and cause mayhem, but the whole Bad sport system makes people think twice. But at the same time, i'm happy it's implemented. It's quite the double edged sword though.

 

The thing which really annoys me, you can't play with friends.

 

Surely they're breaking some form of rule within the Xbox live terms of use for creators. I mean we're paying a subscription to use a service and they're denying that right.

 

I'm largely disappointed.

Problem here is what if there is a tank? He can simply blast EVERYTHING up and have nothing to worry about. And without the bad sports feature the guy getting blown up will have more than just a medical bill to worry about.

 

The bad sport feature is good but needs tweaking.

I think that Rockstar should start using moderators to help find real bad sports and take away the destoy car equals bad sport thing. If blowing up my car is badsporting, tham all the npcs are guilty.

i cant stand people that go round killing for know reason i am glad you get bad sport for blasting my car, its the only pay back you get when a loser who is totally crap at killing has to sneak up and shoot you in the back to get a kill .

How can any one sneak up on you in freeroam? You have a map for christ sake!! Fine then Iam going to use you logic against you...

 

1. If you dent my car you have to pay my insurence.

2. If you run me over and kill me you pay my med bills.

3. If you kill me and take my weapon you havent unlocked yet, it blows up.

4. If you kill me at an atm you are a bad sport.

I dont know about you but i never go around killing for "NO REASON". I go around killing for the best reason THIS IS GTA not farmville! If you do not want to be killed you can pay 100 bux an go into "passive". I should not be considered a bad sport because someone is using their car for cover an i blow it to pieces. ONCE again its GTA! Oh also i think if im being charged your premium when i blow your car up that is good enough reason to me TO BLOW IT UP!

RDR had friendly (passive) servers, regular (like what we have now) servers, and hardcore (PvP friendly and no bad sport) servers

Because splitting the community in 3 different server types on top of free or assisted aim is the solution, instead of pulling out the rotten apples.

 

I really don`t like this backwards logic - let`s split the community because some players only want to be assholes. The better way is to pull out from said community those players and match them on their own server, which bad sport is trying to do.

I don't play the game like that in free roam i don't go around killing unless a bounty . I stay in my car mostly so you run the risk of blowing my car up trying to kill me when i havent done anything to you. this makes me happy cuz if you blow my car up your a bad sport . listen i don't care if its call gta why don't you play death match if you want to kill .
