Dog_Bread Posted October 12, 2013 Share Posted October 12, 2013 It's a drag to find that out after meeting up with friends and going crazy for an hour. you can easily burn through $200,000 or more if you aren't careful. I think it's a good idea to invest most or all of your cash in property, weapons/ammo, clothes, and cars. you can later sell some of these things if you need to liquidate, and weapons/ammo is never a waste. You are bound to find a use for full capacity of bullets, rockets, grenades, and sticky bombs at some point, probably sooner rather than later. ceIozzip Posted October 12, 2013 Share Posted October 12, 2013 i tell ya what also pissed me off just now - i keep having connection issues (i think on account of my netgear router) but anyway, point is people keep "leaving" my free roam session so i have to switch to a new one just to see other people - it seems to be removing my body armour every time i switch. is it supposed to do this?? constantly buying armour and hospital bills is pissing my money away in this game. As far as I know, if your money is in your bank account and not just cash in hand, you aren't supposed to lose money when you die in free roam. Currently, you lose the money either way but I'm pretty sure somebody from R* said in one of their patch updates that they were working on it. QuietSundayLibrary Posted October 12, 2013 Share Posted October 12, 2013 I find this highly aggravating myself, as I don't feel one should be punished for dying during "free roam" romps around the map or simple, non-violent exploration (i.e., slipping off of the edge of a cliff by some chance, or being shot dead by a player in the guise of a rogue sniper several yards away, etc.). I can see it being incentive to succeed during missions, but punishing us for simply making missteps during desert/countryside escapades -- off-mission, mind you -- is a bit much. There was a petition to get it removed and they called it a glitch, pretty pathetic. It's pretty obvious that it's another way to make you need to buy cash cards. Jamhesings Posted October 12, 2013 Share Posted October 12, 2013 When I play online I set a goal for something like the first apt I could get and a motorcycle to trick out and I grind out the cash for it….once I got the 80-100k for all that stuff I spent it all and had 0 cash left over and then I just went crazy stealing jets and cruising all reckless on my motorcycle doing drive-by gankings and leveled up lots at the same time while having no money to lose….
