Stat resets for using exploits.

Two of my xbox live friends have been reset to square one for using the bike selling exploit at los santos customs. As well as many other people, and when they post a question asking about it on the support questions page, Rockstar moderators immediately remove it.

Me and both of my friends posted questions asking about the stat reset, all 3 questions were removed minutes later. Most likely the linked question above will be removed as well. The question was posted by someone that has had the same thing happen to them. They had millions of dollars, cars, and other things like that, they logged on one day and it was all gone. Both of my xbox live friends that were reset, lost everything including their rank level so they have had to start from the beginning. I am rank 21 which means they can no longer do missions with me, unless they invite me to their mission sessions. I am posting this for any of you who are using an exploit or glitch to rack up some money. Just be very careful how much money you accumulate and spend, it is all tracked via social club in the money section. If you have millions earned by "other" (selling vehicles) most likely this will happen to you as well. Now, I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do, do what you will, it is just a cautionary tale for those who care to listen. I believe it is a bit unfair to have everything reset for exploiting a glitch that Rockstar hasn't patched yet, if anything I think the illegitimately earned money should be removed instead of everything, including your rank level.

I have none, aside from the link to the support question someone posted and my personal experience via a couple friends. Believe it, or do not it is up to you. It may or may not be real, it's completely possible that it is just a GTAO glitch that reset everything, I dunno. With all of the bugs and glitches that is the more possible of the two, until I see more of it happening. I regularly check the support questions and if I find more questions like these I will link them. I'm trying to confirm whether these resets are bugs, or intentionally done. If anyone find more support questions like the one in the OP please link them thanks

This is not confirmed, merely speculation. I want to figure out whether it is a glitch that is resetting these people or if it is done intentionally.

I just tried this glitch and it didn't work for me at all, when I spawned back from the ps store I didn't have the bike so I reset the console and the bike and money were both gone.

If R* was resetting/banning people it would be much more widespread than this. Especially on these forums.

 

Well the thing is, when a question is posted about the reset (like i said me and both of my friends all posted separate questions) the post is immediately removed. I don't know if this is to reduce posts about a glitch, or about them intentionally resetting someone.

I don't know that is what I am trying to figure out, but the moderators on the support page keep deleting the posts when I ask about it. That is why I made this thread, to ask for others to keep an eye out for posts of the same nature as the one linked in my OP.

rockstar might not ban anyone but Xbox do for a variety of reasons, just check out their forums. using glitches and exploits, even bad language leads to account suspensions and bans.. selling in game assets for real cash is also a suspending/banning offense.

Quick update to this topic, the resets that both my friends experienced was due to a game glitch. It was not intentional. Due to this that I found on the support page today:

As of yet they have taken no actions towards those using the glitches/exploits. So my question is finally answered no thanks to most of you, who just insulted me when I asked a valid question. Based on this line from the Rockstar reply:

 

"Players that use exploits are easy to find, and repeat offenses may result in a ban to the cheater pool, which works similarly to the cheater pool introduced in Max Payne 3."

 

It seems to me that there will be no character resets, or bans unless the person using the exploit continues to do so excessively. I was considering using the exploit myself a few times, as everything is so expensive and missions do not pay very well, but after reading this I believe I will continue to play legitimately like I have been. Apparently this week the 500 grand stimulus will be given out, and very soon the heist missions will be added which should be well paying. I now have an answer and information to relay to my friends. I believe any further questions I have regarding this game, I will no longer be asking them here as I have received no help in any way, only insults. For those few of you that gave on topic replies to my question I thank you.
