In GTA clearly the people who want to fight anyone in any way they want are the normal people. The childs who are afraid of dying are the ones who should be put into a seperate world. The guys who had brought the word "griefing" into the GTA world should just die. seriously.

 

 

Clearly Rockstar disagrees with you. Everyone I know thinks the people who drive around and shoot any and everyone they see are c*nts.

Normal human beings think multiplayer means having fun together, not having fun at someone elses expense. Following someone around and killing them over and over, taking joy in watching them suffer, is something that only a bonafide psychopath would do.

Says only you. RDR had friendly (passive) servers, regular (like what we have now) servers, and hardcore (PvP friendly and no bad sport) servers. Why is that so f*cking hard to get into your messed up brain? If history has taught us anything, forced segregation is only good for slave owners and Nazis.

 

Splitting the players into 3, on top of the 2 we already have (assisted and free aim) because of a few rotten apples is not the answer. Pulling said apples away from said community and give their own servers is a better solution.

You have to stop calling it griefing. If killing you over and over in free mode is griefing, then winning races all the time is griefing, shoplifting too many times in free mode is griefing, winning deathmatches is griefing. Killing other players has always been a core part of free mode. Doesn't matter if its the same one over and over.

 

Are you that precious? They've given you the option to play on your own server or with friends. If you go into the vast world full of strangers, you can be killed. Multiple times. Medical/bribe bills come just as a side effect. If you can't get away from them or get revenge, switch server! Thats right, another freakin option for you to be a carebear.

 

I was put into bad sport through killing people. How is that a bad sport. LOL, I was engaging in the core essential part of free mode, so i was labelled a bad sport. How about all those people in passive mode? I try extra hard to kill them.

 

If you want a pure risk-free easy mode experience in a game about killing people, perhaps gta online isnt the best option for ya.

One thing that annoys me is coming out of any LS customs and getting riddled with bullets and dying, I can't be arsed killing each other in free roam mostly have passive mode on unless I'm bounty hunting, even passive Mode is pointless when driving about.

I literally rape the hell out of anybody who goes on my nerves, i have the weapons and the skill to do so, simply because this bad sports bullsh*t goes on my nerves so much. I have found out how many times i can kill some dickheads who have clearly chosen the wrong game without ever receiving the cap.

 

If there were different servers then Id defintitely chose the hardcore pvp server. But as long as I am stuck with those roleplayer kiddos who may even stop their car on a red traffic light i will gladly destroy them.

 

The system with the forced seperation is epic fail. Hopefully rockstars has realized that by now. I can kill as many noobs as I want, without ever being punsihed, I just have to take care of the "rules", so I never go ever the limit. Noobs are always in fear of getting raped, and innocent people randomly receive the cap.

I kill random players all the time and I get rewards for being a good sport lol. Just be accurate and shoot people out of cars rather than blowing them up. Even after blowing up peoples personal cars I get good sport rewards so its not very strict unless your doing it constantly.

The bad sports lobby is the biggest sh*t ever because it takes ages to join games and you have to run around with that f*cking cap. If that wasnt the case then i MAY accept it. God, it's GTA, it's supposed to be about rampages and shootouts, not "don't throw the grenade, you might blow up a players ride." I mean, Jesus, it sounds stupid in writing, how did they think this would work. I got put in with the bad sport for blowing myself up when 4 arseholes boxed me in and were trying to steal the high priority export car, how was I supposed to know it was their personal vehicles? I tend to just drive what i find I find driving around. If i could make a sugestion regarding player vehicles, if you destroy one, you get informed about it and you can choose to pay the insurance or not pay the insurance, refusing to pay makes you a bad sport.

actually its not supposed to be about that, this isnt the GTA you are used to. Its meant to be played cooperatively and you are supposed to kill other players in deathmatch missions and vehicle deathmatches and so on. All you kids are playing it wrong killing everyone constantly in free roam like its gta4 online, lol! Bad sport is an excellent idea, its just poorly implemented and needs to be fixed.

I agree the bad sport and passive mode system is broken. You shouldnt get bad sport for blowing up peoples vehicles but like OP said you should if you dont pay for their insurance. I like setting traps for people who try to kill me by sticky bombing their car then blowing them up when they get in. Bit mean but it teaches em a lesson. The passive mode is glitched as they can kill people by running them over and they can be run over. It also annoys me with the losing of money when you die. Every so often I like to play around getting chased by the cops or fighting with my friends but I might die alot and lose most of my money which can get really irritating.

Exactly. GTA IS about rampages and shootouts and that's what people love to do. I think what what they tried to do is make it a challenge because rampaging is what people want to do its kinda like they want you to think twice. If you get what I'm trying to say.

 

Also, Rampaging would be the easy thing to do to make money, rob players, rank up etc. I think they did the bad sport thing to keep it a little less hectic and fair. Like I was in a game with one kid who would wait for players to spawn at the hospital and snipe them as soon a they spawned and eventually was kicked. no r* is trying to get away from all that. they want you to be an online community that actually does something other than lets see how many times we can kill each other. they have death matches for killing each other. as a whole though they want you to have to think about what your doing as you would in real life rather than be mindless kids in your underwear all day. they made fun of jimmy in sp for that reason. it takes twice as much thought to do missions and work together as it does to run around shooting instead of getting your nut off like a 13 yo looking at the panty section of the pennys catolog. its like stepping up to chess from checkers. however some just dont have the capabilty.

I don't mind it, unless you're penalized for defending yourself from another player. At the very least, you shouldn't be penalized if you exact vengeance after being killed to death by some jerk.

 

Personally, on occasion my service will suddenly cut out, and I don't want to be penalized if I leave a match due to that. I wish (hope) the game would distinguish between someone leaving the match, and whether they did so deliberately or were disconnected. That would be nice, but I doubt that would happen.

The concept is really good. And certainly sounds great on paper. But the idea has been pulled off very poorly.

 

It really shouldn't have an impact on the way freemode is played. Afterall it's the only way to unleash unfiltered, self-guided chaos. Good/Bad sport should be restricted to team activities. Where somebody is directly dragging down the rest despite a common goal. Leaving on your team or injuring teammates.

 

If playing free-for-all or solo events, its way of judging you should be null and void. Furthermore they need to include an MMO-like self-defence mechanic. Which basically means you won't receive any drawbacks for killing a player if they recently attacked you first.

 

A bit difficult to implement fairly considering a lot of kills occur to quickly to react to. Maybe have self-defense activated by having someones crosshair simply turn red on you.
