I know it be difficult with how some of the story goes but maybe unlocked after beating it once?

 

The 2nd player could just use the persons online avatar, or maybe even just for free-roam and side missions/replay missions.

 

Would just be fun to roam single player with a friend or two.

You do realize you can already accomplish this with invite only sessions right?

You can play the online game with a single or couple friends yes. But there are A LOT of differences between the online and single player world. Including all the missions areas that are accessible, how spawning is, etc.

Don't forget the whole "not being able to blow up another person's car" bad sport thing. That's kinda half the fun gone right there. Pretty sure that even applies in private games with friends.

Well if you mean real people controlling all three characters in some of these missions, especially heists then I think that would be f*cking awesome.

Would never work. The heists would be a joke. There's no way u could coordinate everything and somebody would always wreck it for everyone else. Half the people on this forum are complaining that they can't even deal with the police! Imagine them trying to coordinate that sh*t it'd be laughable.

They would have to go through and re-do basically the entire single player game for this. On the other side I don't really want co op single player, Online is good enough if they can manage to bring over everything like animals.

This game requires a lot of change to come close to being perfect. The biggest change would be missions that don't suck and a story that doesn't suck. As it is, GTA 5 is one of the most overrated games I have ever played because of how lousy the story aspect (missions, characters, dialogue) is.

 

I do agree though that story co-op would have greatly enhanced the game. It's too bad Rockstar is Apple-like when it comes to the control and not wanting people to have any ability to change things up. I still think the 3 character choice was done just as a F-U to people who wanted co-op.

Yeah thats why i said maybe make it as a "replay" only option or a free roam of sorts with just the side missions. The 2nd player could use their online avatar. I dont know this isn't some feature they could simply add, and for GTA 5 it will never exhist. Just saying it would be cool if you could play the entire game with a friend or two.
