Is buying airplanes worth it?

Hey guys, so I have 300k and I would love to save up for a shamal or something but is buying an airplane worth it? How does it work? I heard that you get your own hangar when you buy the plane but you have to pay 1k to get it delivered there. But wouldn't that mean you would have to go to the airport to pick it up? What's the point of that if there's already a couple small airplanes available.

 

So is it worth it and how does it work?

Don't do it. Airplanes spawn at airfield in sandy shores anyway when you have a high rank. I've got lvl60 and the luxor and buzzard spawn there in free mode. Missions might be different but what would you do with a shamal in a mission.....
