Can you choose to launch at any property?

I've finally got some money and I'm thinking about purchasing some property but need to know if you can choose to spawn (when you launch into Online) in a certain property or if the game just puts you at a random piece of property you own?

You can only own one property at a time, and you cannot own a garage separate from the one with your apartment.

 

edit: You can however, choose to spawn at your property or at your last location in your online options.

Wasn't aware of that, so it's a waste of money to buy the lower level properties than if I plan to upgrade to the $400k one down the track?

Yes it's a waste of money, the 205k apartment is the same lay out as the 400k apartment, only difference is the outside of the building and the view.

If you don't buy a garage before you buy an apartment, you won't get the achievement/trophy for having a garage, apartment, and insured vehicle.

 

At least I didn't.

 

And yeah, it kinda is. However, if you want to upgrade, or downgrade even to a property, your current property will contribute to the cost of it.

Yeah Rockstar needs to fix that, I thought it would give me the achievement since technically all apartments come with a garage..
