My coffee maker is messed up?

Hey guys quick question I know its a little out of Long On but when I make coffee I fill the basket totally and use 4.5 cups of water every time and it comes out perfect.

 

For some reason I followed the same procedure today and my coffee is like barely even brown and certainly not black and tastes watery and disgusting.

 

I'm not sure how I could have an error like this when I follow the same procedure every time, do you think my machine needs to be cleaned out or something? Someone told me that you can run boiling water through it once to flush it out.

They almost helped me with the exact same situation. But I just turned it on and off while hopping on one leg praising Allah and it work for some reason I think that may have helped..

Vinegar is the way to go friend, it really cleans coffee makers well, just flush it a few times and you're good.

I did what Sayid said and I also ran through boiling water because I don't have any vinegar so hopefully it is ok, im going to brew another pot right now and find out if it improved the problem or not will update shortly

Alright guys I made another pot and this one came out fine. Either the methods Sayid and the others gave me worked or the first error was a fluke but it seems the problem is fixed and im having a nice cup of coffee right now

I'll update again tomorrow morning when I make some if its still working but it seems like everything is ok right now thankfully.

I don't have any pets but ill try to remember to take a pic of the coffee for you so you guys can judge if its black enough and the machine is working properly. Don't worry ill keep you all in the loop.

Apparently there is a slight risk of and LDL elevating compound that is filtered out when using a paper filter.

 

 

 

Luckily my cholesterol is find so you can have my french press when you pry it from my cold dead hand!

No problem mate probably not a big deal but there is some risk associated with it. Probably doesn't hurt to have it a couple times a week but daily might be too much

Just an update guys I made some coffee about an hour ago and everything came out fine so it seems the issue is resolved. Thanks for all the tips

Run vinegar through it regularly to keep it clean. Follow up the vinegar with a cycle of straight water. I clean mine like this weekly.

What type of vinegar are you talking about? I keep apple cider and balsamic in the house but i'm assuming you probably mean just the standard white that comes in the big jug?
