I think it's half way between great and excellent, for me the online itself is an 8.5 until all of the extra content gets added into the game. These are just opinions, they aren't statements of fact. This is how the game is at its launch, it's finished product, the product we payed for, the product that were supposed to come 1st October. 11 Days later, a review is rightful to come and let's be honest.GTA V ONLINE SUCKS HARD, not because of the technical issues but because of the fact you do nothing in this game. You do reptitive missions to get money to what? Buy houses? What do you use houses for? Oh yeah, if you get a house for 400GTA cash, (you get around 3k gold per mission if not lucky/replaying). Then, what do you use houses for? Heists? What do you use Heists for? Nothing, because the game has no proper goal and it's simply awful. They tried too hard and I believe it's hard for you fanboys to realize that, and arguments will come that it was free blablabla, it doesn't really matter. If they are going hotshot with an online mode, they better do it right. It's not called gta v online, it's gta online. Which makes it a separate entity. Gta 5 is just a key to accessing the service. Their reviewers are more retarded than IGN's. The only people taking that gamespot review seriously are entitled whiners who know nothing about servers and expect everything to work perfectly on day one for the most anticipated game. It's a stupid age we live in. Oh? Because I have always thought the people saying it was expected to have server problems, were an issue of humanity because of their stupidity. They got 1 billion the first day of GTA V, yet their servers wasn't good enough. Why take a risk of it being less? Why not just make it really big so that it will surely survive? They had the money for it for sure. And Gamespot? Why is Gamespot bad? The Kane and Lynch reviewer got kicked you know. ...Really? He gave Kane and Lynch a negative review, and got fired because Sony threatened to pull advertising. Basically, Gamespot will sacrifice their own legitimate reviews for money. Points lost because of the heavily scripted and ZERO paying heists (much different than what R* told us in press releases). Also because of the cut and lack of content in SP ( cant steal a car and sell it at LS Customs, closed off banks so can't rob tellers or attempt a robbery on our own, closed off most interiors so limits robberies, and you HAVE to be online on the BAWSAQ to take advantage of some assassination missions). Of course many of these are minor fixes R* could implement if they wanted to. I am waiting to play multiplayer till the bugs and other BS gets sorted. However, I think it's simply too early to review the online. I think there should be ANOTHER review in 3 to 6 month's time, because this is an ambitiously large online multiplayer that will grow as time goes by.
