Free aim games and auto aim games. They need to make it more clear.

I guarantee at least half of people dont know that your aiming settings in singleplayer will correspond to the type of games you join online, whether it be free mode, deathmatch etc. If you have auto aim (assisted aiming) enabled in singleplayer then ALL your games you join will have auto aim for everybody. Although If you get invited to a game that has a different aiming setting then you, you will be notified when loading into the session. So if you dont want auto aim nubs in team death match, which honestly takes no skill, you gotta go into singleplayer and set your aim to free aim. This will make it so all the games u find will be free aim, including free roam.

 

Now I dont know why they didnt make it more clear and obvious of how to pick which settting in games you wanna play, auto aim or free aim. I wouldnt even of known this if I hadnt just figured it out on my own.

 

I imagine alot of people dont know this and just play with the default auto aim on. This has led to free aim deathmatches being hard to find sometimes, even though they are WAY better.

 

You also get twice the amount of xp for killing an npc enemy without auto aim on (although i still usually play missions with auto aim on for speed and convenience). But other then that I hate auto aim as it takes no skill (just hold left trigger to lock on, move right joystick slighty up to target head, pull trigger).

 

I just wish rockstar would make this more clear so more people would know about it for the online.

But i guess your trying to say that its stupid we cant change our aiming mode once online, OR be notified of what we are using without going to options. In which case, yes. I agree.

so free aim freemodes exist? thanks for the tip i figured they havent added the option yet. I honestly wish they kept the online navigation similar to gta 4 as well as stats and leaderboards. Also the colored players on the map from gta 4 was perfect dont understand why they got rid of that. Is there ways to check your K/D in a team deathmatch game? And a way to see what lap your on in the middle of a race?

See this is what im talking about. I imagine there are many people like you who have no idea free aim games even exist. For teamdeath match it will tell you your K/D at the end of the match. I dunno how to check your overall K/D, and im not sure about the laps in a race. Although it does tell you when you complete a lap what lap you are on

Didn't know about it till I started lurking the forums a few days ago. I'm waiting for them to fix issues in being able to connect to other races/parachuting while still being set to free aim. Modes like that shouldn't be effected, just free roam and any other competitive PvP that allows for Players to kill each other.

 

aim assisted and free aim only please. Even though I like AA for NPC killing, its just not fun killing people at the moment. You get more entertainment making them mad than actually killing them, which should not be the case.
