Driving, races or pass oncoming cars
Stamina, just running in general.
Shooting, shooting range, deathmatch, killing in lobbies
Strength, get a friend in a car, lock on to him and punch the car 250 times for 100%
Stealth, 2 Stealth kills is 1%, best is an elastic band around the analog sticks and then go away for 30 mins , will be full
Flying, air race wins, ever 10 mins flown is 1%
Lung capacity, keep diving underwater and going back for like 30 mins.

Driving doesn't take long to max out at all, I've done about 30-40 races and maxed it out a while ago. It's way higher than all my other stats.

Stamina- do the mountain bike races

Lung Capacity- go swimming also dose stamina aswell

Shooting-do the missions or go to the shooting range

Stealth- shoot in stealth mode

Flying-don't know havnt done any flying yet but I think it will be same as driving so just flay around and do the races

Driving-drive around and do races

Strength-get a friend to sit in his car and you punch it don't take long

that's all I know really

Question being, why bother?

Stealth is...questionable at best.

Strength doesnt help too much aside from fist fights (Suppose if thats what your into)

Lung Capacity...Sure..but buy a dinghy and get scuba gear is better.

Stealth is handy in Death Match, where you don't want your blip to light up on the map when you move. It's also handy in certain Adversary Modes.

Strength allows you to fall farther without dying. Having a new character is a good reminder of how useful that one can be.

Lung Capacity is handy if trying to escape underwater. I've been in that situation often enough. Admittedly, this is probably less useful now that we have rebreathers, but I wonder if it doesn't make those last longer?

But most of all, it looks nice when your stats are on screen, and they're all nice and even. :)

I need tips

I found an easy AFK way to max out Lung Capacity a couple of years ago. It involved swimming inside one of the Waste Water Treatment Plant's round tanks. This is next to the army base. IIRC, it involved a couple of rubber bands on the controller, and the idea was that, swimming (under water) inside one of the small inner circles of one of these tanks, you would continuously bump up against the wall, causing you to rise, which would give you your breath. The constant sinking and swimming would max out your Lung Capacity, while you slept IRL. Look for the tank with a small inner circle, (the top edge may be below the surface). You'll have to play around with the rubber bands to get your character going properly, but it worked for me.
Back in the day, you could max out Stealth by rubber-banding the two thumb sticks together and punching L3 to go into Stealth mode while inside your garage, or some other safe place. On next gen, or perhaps it's been patched on both, you can no longer use Stealth mode in your garage. But, since Passive Mode now works properly, you can do it anywhere outside. Solo sessions are best for this sort of thing anyway. Just find a spot where you don't have to worry about getting run over, or bumping into NPCs, (which might cause them to attack and kill your character). It'll be done in an hour or so. Go get laid, or something.
I haven't tried it, but I've been told you can rubber-band your controller in an air vehicle. Me? I just do Flight School. Another way is to do a particular Air Race, I forget which one, but you veer away from the checkpoints, then continuously land and take off from the airport airfield. It requires a plane with retractable landing gear, (the correct race provides that). Approach, drop landing gear, land briefly and take off again, retract landing gear. Lather, rinse, repeat. You tend to get more credit for stuff in Missions.
You might also use a Mission to build Strength, since the one thing that prevents you from punching out everything in sight is the cops. As you know, in many missions you won't get a Wanted Level. Punching NPCs is fun, and it'll give you a chance to learn how best to use your fists, (as opposed to merely spamming the X button).
To my mind, you do so much shooting, driving, and running in this game that those stats will take care of themselves soon enough. But Survival is one of the funnest things you can do in the game, and, if you're a low rank, you can pick up every important weapon in the game, and then keep them in Freemode as long as you don't change sessions. Try not to kill the last guy each Wave, or only take out the shooters in the choppers - don't take down the chopper itself until you have a chance to run around and pick up weapons, ammo, snacks, and money. Survival pays well enough, it'll get your Shooting Stat and Rank up, and it's where I met all the best players, (people with mics who are willing to co-operate). These are the people you want to add to your Friends list, and do Heists and Missions with.

This is completely unreadable.

damn can mods temp ban people necrobumping 3 year old threads to post stuff the is common knowledge!

Did you actually search for a thread so you could do a two year necropost?

I came here looking for this type of information, because I created a new character, and needed some reminders. What that means is, there are people still interested in the info. What are you doing here?

What I don't understand is why anybody gives a flying f*ck about how old a thread might be. Seems to me, it's better to keep stuff in one thread, rather than creating a new one everytime the subject comes up. But hey, if it gives a couple of people something harmless to be outraged about, I'm just glad I could help.
