It is a problem, because they can make the money back really fast. Resetting them back to 1 hinders them a bit and provides at least SOME amount of frustration and introspection.

First night I bought the 1.25 mil cash card, so I did the LSC glitch to get my money back because my character got deleted. Every single time I call support I get a busy tone and every support request gets the same automatic response. I am fully expecting a ban, or a reset. I'm also not expecting a refund.

I guarantee that no one will get banned. You know why? Because this glitch, particularly the bike Glitch, has been known about for several days now. I'm sure rockstar has already caught wind of this. I'm sure that they would have released a warning that they will ban people who are exploiting this glitch by now. But they haven't. Again no bans will happen, just resets most likely if even.

Hitting replay is not an exploit or cheating, It's in English...Replay. That's giving the player the option to replay. Duping, taking advantages of Bugs and Glitches is cheating/exploiting. R* can ban people for that if they have proof. Now I Don't think they will but they can. All of these people starting up threads encouraging duping, exploiting should be careful. I'm surprised the Mods allow such topics.

No one is whining about the "system" or "game market" being thrown off balance. If you want to make that argument though, you're wrong. Microtransactions are in place so that if people really want help with money in game, they can get more for a price. But they put a price in place to keep the system in check so everyone is not doing it. They can control the market with the cash cards and see EXACTLY how much money people are purchasing.

Alright, now I see a lot of Rockstar Defence Force running around wailing "R* SHOULD BAN PEOPLE WHO ARE RICHER THAN ME, HAVING MONEY ISN'T THE WAY THE GAME IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED", or whatever, I'm gonna explain to you all why resetting/banning people who farmed money using an exploit in the game's code is illogical, and just makes Rockstar a bunch of twats.

 

 

Reason 1. It's in the game's code. If R* coded it, how are we as the consumer, supposed to know it's not intended. We're talking legal terms here. Just because we do know it was a glitch, doesn't mean it's legally classed as a glitch, because in legal terms, logic means f*ck all. Common knowledge. R* may not have intended it to be like that, but it's a sequence of actions in THEIR GAME. Not my problem.

 

Reason 2. "It upsets the balance of the game". "It's not the way it was intended to be played"

 

Right, so farming 100k using a glitch that takes two minutes "upsets the game balance", whereas simply throwing £2.99 at Rockstar doesn't?

Gameplay wise, THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. If R* are offering people the chance to BUY MONEY, they have NO REASON to use "it upsets the balance of the game" as a reason to ban people.

 

Reason 3. Those people were never going to buy money anyway. What does banning them acheive?

 

F*ck all. The only thing it achieves is Rockstar's loss of the chance of that user buying DLC.

 

 

So that's "moral wise" and "business wise" reasons both shut down. If you've got any other reasons, post them.

this being the biggest thing rockstar has ever done, there are bound to be some things rockstar missed.

 

the people (like me) who farmed the missions originally were allowed to do this. but people complained, and it was removed.

 

the motorcycle glitch however is in fact a bug that rockstar missed when coding the online portion of the game. it was never actually meant to be there.

 

its one thing to make 18000 on mixed with coke every 30 seconds, because it was allowed. it was somethign they talked about. i distinctly remember reading a quote somewhere that read " if you want to make a lot of money quickly. just repeat high pay missions"

 

but its another thing entirely to take a bati 88 or whatever that youve fully modded out the hard way and sit here and make 50,000 every 10 seconds, that's game breaking.

 

i wont complain about anyone doing it but trying to show off a 10 car garage full of chrome adders is just going to get you laughed at by the community as we KNOW you didnt earn it, you exploited a known bug that rockstar has ALREADY WARNED AGAINST DOING to get them.

OP makes out like people glitching don't know they're doing it 'cos they think it's been programmed in by the developers....lol what a joke.

 

I think it's pretty obvious that getting cars you're not meant to be able to sell and then being able to sell them after doing stuff like going into PS Store and exiting, etc, is a glitch.

 

Farming on the other hand isn't, as R* originally created the game with a restart / replay option.
