Still problems with GTA online

Hey everybody

 

it seems you guys are all playing right now, getting your 10 car garages, buying nice appartments and having all the guns upgraded.

its good to hear its working for you guys. but i still having alot of problems and i wonder if you some of you guys have these problems too.

 

so these are the problems:

 

- when i try to connect it says the cloud servers are down. (its a problem for almost everybody)

- when i do connect and i want to do a job it says: Job failed to download , almost 90% of the time i get this.

- if the job did download and we played the mission. we can get a screen where you can choose the next mission. i never get this screen, but instead i just see blurred background, and down right on my screen i see: continuing. this takes about 1-2 minutes then i get replaced in a free roam lobby.

 

 

 

if you guys also have these problem let me hear, and if you know a solution please tell me.

I get the cloud server errors too, don't know what you mean about jobs not downloading, though. Never had that. I always see the next mission screen. what is your internet speed?

This is exactly what I have.. the only difference is that I get the "job failed to download" message like 99% of the time.. I usually cannot run more than one mission per day and that's if I'm lucky.

On top of that, my friends list usually only works when I've just logged in, after a few minutes it goes empty and I can't invite my friends.

 

Also, my game save loses data pretty often, I mean experience, purchased items, customizations etc.

 

It isn't a matter of internet, speed, here's my speedtest (and that's with utorrent running):

 

 

At first I suspected it was a matter of port forwarding, so I tried pretty much everything including putting my PS3 in the DMZ but it doesn't help.. also, on COD and in any other game I can think of I have Open NAT, so the problem shouldn't be on my end. I'm curious though, are you playing retail or digital copy? Mine is digital.

 

Edit: I just noticed you live in Holland too.. who's your internet provider? KPN?

sorry your right it is: job failed to download.

 

i also have the problem it doesnt save anything i do. for the past week

currently i am level 5 with 20.000$ and i "tried to play" for about 25 hours now. i have acctualy played for only 10 hours. and social club says i only played for 1 hour and 15 minutes o.O. so only 1 hour and 15 minutes have acctualy been saved.

 

i also tried: Open Nat and open these ports: http://gtaforums.com/topic/415686-possible-fix-for-mp/

nothing fixed it

 

and i our provider is also KPN

i got the solution

for the people who need the solution:

 

you need to change your DNS on your console to:

primary dns: 8.8.8.8

secondary dns: 8.8.4.4

 

how to change dns on ps3:

 

i dont know how it works on xbox360

 

it worked for me and for AndrosCelsum.
