cant hear any voice chat?

ive never heard one person speak while in free roam..not since launch. the only time I hear voice chat is in race/mission lobbies... then when the mission starts there's no voice chat again... soon as we return to the lobby I hear people speaking again. Surely there must be a problem? my voice chat is set to everyone

there must be i never heard anyone chatting in freeroam and i got the xbox version of gta online.plus when i'm in survivor mode i loose my gunfire sounds.

Make sure your ps3 audio setting are set up properly and while in-game hold select then scroll down to chat option and set to everyone

Yeah I'm on xbox with the same problem; on survivor mode/gang attack/crate drop I can never hear my assault rifle, but my pistol/shotgun make noise. And if I plug my mic in I hear people but with it unplugged I never hear anyone anymore. This started happening after patch 1.03

Hold select/back, second or third option from the bottomshould be chat. Set it to everyone.

 

If it already is, you have another problem. Maybe in the system settings?
