GTA Online problems. Advice please.

Ok, so I came over to my friends to play some online. I am currently level 29 and have hooked my ps3 up at his house and successfully signed into my profile and played online on my profile at his house.

 

Now when I go on his ps3 and he tries to make a new character(he doesnt have one) and play the game he gets the infamous "cannot connect to cloud servers" bullsh*t and it sends him to single player. We tried solo, invite only, and closed friends match to get through the starter race to no avail. He said when he turned his system on it updated the ps3 and when he clicked gta5 it updated again.

 

Please offer any advice you might have because we'd like to level him up but cannot do the stupid f*cking race I had so many problems with before.

Is this with both PS3s connected to his network at his house?

 

Have you tried to start him off with only his console connected? If it works with just his console connected but not both it may be a conflict at the router. Make sure uPnp is enabled on the router & both PS3s

 

Otherwise it's probably worth wiping & re-installing on his system, maybe it glitched during the update or install.

Thanks for the reply although he doesnt wanna wipe it but would re-installing the game data work just the same. He's got a wired connection which we tried on his with the same problem. Then I plugged mine in. I was connected with the same ether net cable and signed on. Fired gta up on my console that I brought with me and it worked no problem.
