tramp stamps and car bombs

so you need to kill 20 players with car bombs for the one tramp stamp, and I decided to go for it - Got out my sental rs, rigged it with a ignition bomb and parked it up by the apt that most people on the server were spawning from.... I grabbed a car off the street and drove around for 20-30 min, but no-one drove back by that apartment again.... I ended up chasing a guy with a bounty into his home. we were the last two remaining people on this server so it was either him or no-one.

 

I left my car out in front of his garage and started derping around like I was going to wait for him, but then grabbed a car and drove away like I was giving up.

 

after a min or so I get a message from my ins that my car was destroyed and I could do a claim... but I never got a message that he died from it exploding, or recieved the bounty.

 

is there a time limit with the bombs, or does it not count as a player kill? also I can't seem to find anywhere on social club where they track car bomb stats.

It does count as a player kill, I killed a guy with an ignition bomb (funny story). I'm inclined to think there's a range limit before the car despawns and blows itself up, I had driven some distance when I got a kill.

 

If you're on PS3 I'd be happy to be your carbomb victim sometime, just gotta spend my 120k beforehand.
