DatDudeDB
I'm someone who likes to think of "what if.." An the whole time playing GTA V I kept thinking how if I had the chance to write the story what would I have done differently? Personally..Franklin just didn't factor to much of a character. I would have made him some kid (make it in early 2000's) who was pushed into the gang scene (and have maybe 10-15 missions that really heavily involved this) and just show how TRULY brutal the gang life is. The whole time in the game Franklin wants to leave the gang world, but you never really get a fulfilling answer as to why? There is really no motivation there. Than say 5 years later you see him training to become a cop for The LSPD. You do some missions as a police officer, and eventually you get promoted to a detective, and you are assigned to find Trevor Phillips and befriend him and turn him into custody. So you eventually find a way to become friends and partners with Trevor in his Trevor Phillips industry, and you end up journeying with him to find Micheal (after seeing the report on tv. I would cut out Wade completely imo). Eventually Trevor and Michael decide to join back as a group again..and franklin tags along constantly feeding info back as this undercover cop. Now I would have cut the stupid FIB missions completely, since they just muddled the story. Now in terms of Heists I would've added at least 7 heists, but that had alot of variation and that would actually carry over our men (and the rpg system of giving points to your guys that was introduced but was hardly used again) 1. Jewelry Store (similar to the one we had in the game) 2. Bank Robbery (more similar to the Liberty City mission than the Paleto Bay Heist) 3. Union Depository 4. Casino Heist (similar to the film Ocean 11) 5. Art Museum Heist (where you had to to sneak into an art museum and there would be various lasers that you would have to disable and jump over) 6.History Museum (Some rare egyptian jewel, and once again this would be more stealthy as a mission) 7. Final Bank Heist In the end Franklin becomes in love of the rich life style, and the excitement of the heists and really awakens his early gangster days as a teen. But he still knows there's a job to be done, regardless for his love. So he sets up the final heist purposely set up in a way to capture Micheal and Trevor. So in the process of the final heist which happens to be the largest trust fund in LS. They get barricaded in the bank and begin to take hostages, and similar to Red Dead they have to go guns ablazing amongst 100's of officers. In the end after all the events that take place, Trevor and Micheal die in the gun fights, while Franklin manages to sneak off as one of the hostages with millions of dollars. This would introduced more interesting heists..Some that involved stealth, and heavy planning...rather than bang bang bang, run run run. Also, the final heist would introduce taking hostages and negotiating with the police and all the elements that revolve around that.
roostersrule2
I agree actually, the heists weren't overly climatic they could have been better, my favourite was the first one.
Khaos89
They put a big focus on heists, how many did we do? 3-4? I was expecting to be able to plan our own whenever we want.
