Some people get it I'm not talking about legitimate replay of missions I thought it was bullsh*t that that was taken away but like the glitches now are giving people millions every few minutes that is some bitch ass sh*t the people on here who are saying I'm jealous and sh*t are hitting post for they're reply then thinking to themselves man I hope he's wrong I really don't wanna get banned I mean I got the game yesterday I'm level 2 and got 80 million dollars I busted my ass for like an hour getting that money

if r* were so against this, they could have put out an announcement that they are aware of glitches and that exploiting is against their ToS and that any exploiters will be banned at some point, therefore alleviating any doubt's about if its ok or not and giving people abusing it a chance to stop or not be surprised when they get reset/banned, without this though i see it all as fair game, but still recognize i may get reset at some point along with many others.

Y is it that other people care so much about what others do? If they want to take the easy way up, they're going to get bored much faster, but at least it's fun for them and they'll buy the next game that much faster, because they had that much fun on this game, because they played it the way they found most enjoyable. If you want to play legit, then go ahead and stop b*tching about other peoples' business.

RockStar has way bigger problems to take care of such as fixing disappearing characters, property, and vehicles! Their priority is definitely not making sure people don't exploit loopholes and glitches (which make the bulk of their consumers happy).

And if you're worried about people having better stuff or higher ranks than you, then fixing glitches and exploits is the least of your problems, because even if they do fix everything and no one can glitch or exploit loopholes, then there will be a large number of people who are better than you, have more money, or have a better rank than you. There is no way that you will be the best player out there because no one can glitch. If you honestly believe that, then you are a very sad person!

And if that really would be he case, then that makes you an even sadder person (for the obvious reasons).

When your rank is 37 and you have the most expensive apt and 10 super cars with 3000000 in your bank account it doesnt add up. Rockstar along with all the other players can see what you scum bags are up to and I'm sure you will either get banned or you account reset. If not maybe we should bring this to rockstars attention but I do think this was one of the reasons why they set it up like this

This assumes that R* can evaluate every single player and make a judgement call on each of them. Not saying it's impossible, but I am skeptical as to what technology they do have.

 

All they'd have to do is check a database. Like every other organisation in World that keeps updated accounts and records.

i used to play diablo 2 when i was a kid, and people eventually were able to install bots to play the game for them, farm the best items / reach a high level without even being at the computer screen.

 

i was into socom II more than any game i've ever played, it was a tight-knit competitive team based shooter. and eventually "cloud 9" came out, which allowed players to hack and use auto-aim and sh*t and the game fell apart.

 

i don't see gta being a very competitive game. there really is no point in getting a faster car, or a better weapon, or a bigger apartment, because there is no end game.

in the same way they record every bullet fired, they'll record what you play and see that people have been playing the same mission repeatedly

not to brag, I'm rank 45. I don't have a lot of money, just 3 cars with some mods. I haven't used any 'exploits' other than playing the same mission when it arises. I admit, I have no life. But there are players higher than me who didn't use exploits

only ones rockstar is going to ban (if anyone at all) all the exploiters. farmers will get away with it, because before they "patched" the replay function, it was just a normal function in the game that everyone had the option of doing. It was only the results of angry non-farming forumers that got rockstar to change that system. as for the exploits those people are actually taking advantage of a bug in the system, that was unforeseen and required no effort at all to gain money.

 

now people might say that farming required no effort, it was an actual system that was implemented by r* which required players to do the mission, and was just a matter of how determined said player was to getting the money.

Good thing I never used any of those. I got to rank 72, over 3.5 mil and a fly ass house with 10 fully upgraded cars... all by doing missions, farming VD and MUWC, and racing.

 

I also have no life outside of work and my family, so that helps me put in the 85 hours I have since launch.

 

But damn, I'm a pimp in GTAO.

It's been said a million times but may as well be repeated as people are still not getting it. Farming is perfectly legitimate; as boring as a butter sandwich but still legitimate and doesn't bother me in the slightest (I don't do it personally but have NOTHING against it at al). Glitching is another story, however.

Still don't understand how grinding out some survivals, races, and doing 30+lvl missions along with turning in 9k cars (possibly every 48 minutes) doesn't net people enough rp/$$. Granted it wont ever be 3 million an hour but who the hell needs that kind of money?

 

The players that do this, what are your incentives for logging in after you've done this? To show off? Because no one outside of your 10yr old click cares. To grief players because you have 100 rockets to spare? I'd just find a new session...

 

When heists come out why bother doing them? I mean, you'll probably do them a few times just to check them out but since you don't need the money you'll get bored of it to and drive on back to LS Customs to re-fuel your bankroll instead.

It just takes some very simple checks.

 

To work out if someone has been using the vehicle selling glitch, this is the equation:

 

if (Total money made on car sales > ((Minutes Played / 48) x Highest sale value for cars) then (User = Exploiter)

 

If the user has made more money from car sales than should be possible, it's very obvious.

rockstar already posted that glitching and exploits aren't bannable, they understand that if it is allowed in their code, then they have no right, they can do patches if they wish, but don't get mad about it, they don't want anymore bad press that could cause more players to vacate this game when the shooters start releasing
