rockstar can tell who's farming/glitching

When your rank is 37 and you have the most expensive apt and 10 super cars with 3000000 in your bank account it doesnt add up. Rockstar along with all the other players can see what you scum bags are up to and I'm sure you will either get banned or you account reset. If not maybe we should bring this to rockstars attention but I do think this was one of the reasons why they set it up like this

Actually its possible. B.C each Created Character has a world standing with detailed stats. They can see everything, but I doubt they reset anything. In fear of them screwing something else up

rockstar already posted that glitching and exploits aren't bannable, they understand that if it is allowed in their code, then they have no right, they can do patches if they wish, but don't get mad about it, they don't want anymore bad press that could cause more players to vacate this game when the shooters start releasing

You didn't read closely. They cannot evaluate every single player. Most players are not on the extreme ends, but have still farmed. How much farming should get you banned? It honestly should be all or nothing, and there is really no way to evaluate that.

 

As I hinted before, I don't think they can evaluate every single person fairly.

At topic starter...what i cant understand is why you are mad about this. You obviously want to experience this game legit, some people don't. What they do has no effect on you like aimbots do to a fps shooter. Its not like they are hacking and ruining your game 24/7. They are exploiting for personal gains...if you dont like it, let them get banned. Im just saying it could be worse...get over it.

They don't need to evaluate every player. They can search the database and logs for specific things, like a quick increase in money. Say for example a specific number of players made over 5 million in 1 day, then they can look into how they did that. When they know exactly how it was done then they can use that as a search term to identify those who used that exploit.

farming shouldn't be ban-worthy. i admit, it's cheap and a bit dicky, but violent duct was a loophole that they didn't fix. it wasn't a massive exploit, just a semi-difficult mission with an instant restart button and a great reward. that's on rockstar, not the player. i'm glad they patched it.

Oh, wait. Yes they are! They are giving everybody who played this month $500k. They are fixing the glitched replay button in the next patch so that it works again as intended. What ragers here fail to understand (that R* clearly does) is that it is the developers responsability to fix glitches and unbalances in the game that they themselves created. They aren't going to punish the customers who are simply taking advantage of thier mistakes and oversights, No matter how badly angry posters here may want them to. No, the most logical, practical and customer friendly way of dealing with these issues is for them to fix those issues within the game itself.

You obviously don't know how these things work. Check google for any online multiplayer games, exploits and ban waves. It doesn't happen instantly. Computer programming isn't magic or easy. Sometimes it's pretty complex and takes time to fix things. It takes time for things to go up and down the chain of command. It takes time for them to become aware of issues and decide how to handle them.

Coming from the Mass Effect 3 community, I'd say that the worse thing they'll do is reset accounts. We had a glitch where a player could turn all of their ammo into OHKO rockets and easily grind the highest difficulty and this of course, threatened mahneyz bein' maed. Bioware never banned these kids, but rather, reset them. No matter how many times they patched it, it would always return. Eventually Bioware just stopped giving a sh*t.

 

tldr; worst they'll do is reset.
