Can you own an apartment and a garage at the same time?

There's an achievement that leads me to believe so. Anyone know?

No. This question has been asked before.

 

Some people believe that by buying a property that HAS a garage, you get the achievement.

 

Others, like myself, believe you have to first buy a garage by itself, then trade it in for an apartment. Then you get the achievement. Personally, this is how I did it, and I have the achievement unlocked.

 

If you already own a property with a garage and don't have the achievement then you either (a) are glitched and will never get it, or (b) you need to trade in your apartment, buy JUST a garage, then trade that in and buy your apartment back, then you'll get the achievement.

 

It's one of these two things. There is no other consensus amongst the community. And to answer your question directly, you can NOT own multiple properties. It will let you buy another if you already own one, but the game will refund you half of what you paid for your current property. Anyone who thinks there will be an "update" to allow you to own multiple properties is more than likely wrong. Like I said, I have the achievement and have only owned one property at a time.

To get the achievement you can buy the apartment with the garage and you'll get the achievement.
