Canonically, no, he doesn't or at least hasn't done anything worth mentioning in the main storylines. To me it looks like R* simply threw misty and Claude together with clothing and hair that matched and said it was them. This reminds me of Resident Evil Retribution. Sony cast some guy as Leon that looks absolutely nothing like him. They simply made his hair and clothing look like him and said close enough...
