I just got done with GTA Online. Some guy followed me for about 20 minutes, honestly, killing me 3 or 4 times in the process when I wasn't even shooting back . I was just trying to get away on my bison. Each time I would respawn he'd keep following me and running me over or shooting me.

 

 

So eventually I started firing back and he gets on his mic to his friends "SOME fa**ot IN A PICK UP TRUCK IS SHOOTING ME AND WONT STOP, JESUS I HATE THIS GAME"

 

so I turned my mic on, which I rarely do, and said "You've been following me for 20 minutes what am I supposed to do!!"

 

And then they unleashed the worst abuse I've ever heard in my life on me because my voice identified me as a female and they called me an arab cocksucker, a n word whore, this that and the other, the most vile, racist language you have ever heard in your life even by video game standard. I eventually just had to turn my game off.

 

I need to remember to just join the games of the French people on my friends list when I sign in because a random freeroam is a disaster!

To add insult to injury I lost probably 15-20k due to dying so much! Stupid freeroam. Medical bills must go and we need to do something about the people that are using this hideous language online... Most online gaming servers you get banned for acting like that but I guess rockstar cannot police voice that.

 

It is sad that it is like this. You are better off playing in invite only lobbies at times, or with no mic. That is what I usually do. People I play with are pretty cool, but there are a lot of douche bags online.... just a general rule with anything online I suppose. Or even the world/life in general. Lol

Yeah I should just get over it. I am just surprised how someone can follow you and grief you for 20 minutes when all you are doing is trying to get away, then when you finally shoot, they let loose on you on voice chat. seems backwards if anyone was going to yell it should have been me.

Yea, you just gotta find a good group and then the game becomes much more fun. Dont be afraid to shoot a f*cker if hes bothering ya. If they start yelling and insulting and being totally immature you can mute them from the start button too, and then laugh knowing they think they are talking sh*t but you dont hear a word they say! lol! I aint letting no one kill me over and over without killing him back. They quit doing it pretty quick usually when you start killing them back cause then they gotta pay the hospital bills, lol! Plus when you have a group they are less likely to bother you in the first place. thats really all you can do about it. Im not playing in a solo session cause it aint no fun and you dont get near as much rank and money.

Yeah, freeroam you lose money and get frustrated, that's it. Such a shame that was supposed to be the main draw for the game and its a total sh*tshow worse than counterstrike with team killers and those guys who flashbang their own team in the spawn area.

most of them doing it are 12 and dumb, there are some adults doing it but not near as many as kids. They think its like gta4 online, and its not, its way different and meant to be played differently. They really dont even know they are playing it wrong, they think thats the point, ive seen people running around robbing stores over and over and over, that doesnt pay sh*t or give you much cash. Play the missions like you are supposed to and you rank up and make money way faster! they havent figured it out yet. Lots of them will leave when the new COD comes out. Should get a little better then, haha!

I like screwing around killing random people online once in awhile with my friends. We just do it to initiate an attack to see if they want to fight back for the fun of it. If not, we just move on to the next guy.

 

Killing the same guy over and over is kinda lame and ruins the experience if you just want to hang with your friends.

no, you can blow up a few cars every now and then and not get put in bad sport. You get a warning, that's it. As long as you don't do it ALL the time. This entire post is ridiculous. pause>online>find new session. Problem solved. Takes a minute. It costs you nothing. Op is an idiot.

 

Edit: the game is supposed to be a challenge, a competitive, violent online landscape. If you keep getting killed, use some skill and find a way to kill them. The death bills are not expensive, if you are finding them too high, you need to get to work making some money. It is all balanced pretty damn well in my opinion

Those folks are real pieces of sh*t. They are probably so insecure in real life that they resort to bullying strangers online. They're the types to cuss someone off in gamechat, but wouldn't dare to do so in real life.

 

My suggestion is to play in an invite only session with friends, or you can join my crew "Road Angels" as we generally like to have fun and are an amiable bunch. I don't want too many people in my crew (don't want one too huge) but I feel bad and I'll make an exception for you. Hey, maybe we'll even hunt them down online as I disdain douchebags anyway.

1. Make sure said person doesn't recognize your psn, if they do, make a new one and new character
2. Add them as a friend, most people will add for the hell of it or you could make up a message with some bullsh*t story
3. Get added, join all their games in free roam
4. They're marked on your map as a friend so they're that much easier to find
5. Attack with full force until they get the hint and unfriend you on psn
6. Feel like a boss

So true, really grates on me as well. I'm playing an 18+ (UK) game and all I hear are squeaky wannabe gangstas that have no sense of self respect or respect for others AT ALL. What happened to human civility? (I fully blame liberalism but I don't wish to start that debate) Would love it if they could match all the adults together, and leave the bed wetters to their own devices (we'd still get pricks, but without the helium voices)

 

I play with chat restricted to Friends + crew only but unfortunately that doesn't apply to jobs

Thanks for the advice. It's sad that so many people here are having the same experience and that it is 99 percent of the time American players. US parents need to get their act together. Children are children online but its only the American ones that have absolutely 0 respect and use the most vile language.
