Npc Bounties In GTAO

I just got a $3000 bounty from stealing a npc's truck in GTAO. Do you like this feature? I personally think it's bullsh*t. My old car was destroyed and I haven't had the money to replace it yet. So, I've just been stealing them to get around. R* is trying too hard for us to buy a car / have a personal vehicle.

I don't care for it, though I haven't got it, since I am low level. It's something I find annoying rather than immersive or what have you.

I dont particularly care for the feature, but I think it adds a little bit of excitement. My favorite moment in Online so far was getting an NPC bounty and gunning down people as they came after me.

 

Its amazing what people will do for 2000 dollars.

It's annoying, especially when your own mechanic won't deliver you a vehicle from your garage. Like... What do I pay you for again exactly?

 

Rockstar needs to fix the bug where if you steal an npc's car and kill them they'll still be able to put a bounty on you. What...did the guy contact me from the afterlife or something? lol

i didn't even know it was possible until i had a NPC in solo session put a bounty on me. f*cking jagoff so now i just kill whoever i rip out of a car

I don't mind it, I almost never play in public servers, so even though I have several bounties racked up (If that's even possible) I'll never get killed because of one.

Pay the insurance and its less money to recover your car. Mine costs $780 (or there about) for a new car.

 

I like the bounties, if you survive it, you keep the money.

An npc put a bounty of $5000 on me a few minutes ago and another npc pulled me out of my car when I was parked and tried killing me for it. Anybody else had other npc's trying to kill you when you've got a bounty?

I think it adds to the game, even tho it pisses me off every time it happens.

 

Never fails that I get a $9000 bounty on my head everytime I steal a Baller....mostly look for Felons now.

I like it personally. Actions should have ramifications. If I'm online on my own and bored I'll often go from home to Sandy Airfield, stealing every car I can until I get a bounty so I can troll people in a heli high above the road. Not one person has figured out what I'm doing yet, and I've had 5-6 people at once fighting by my blip. Wish I could see their faces when a car drops from the sky and explodes next to them lol

In not really sure how you wouldn't be able to pay the insurance for your car seeing as every 48 minutes you can sell a car for at least 9.5k. That'll cover most insurance fees

 

There's also no correlation between the price you can sell the stolen car for and the bounty you receive. Stole a BMX before and got a 9k bounty.

i think it's dumb because it implies every other person in SA has lester's phone number. he is supposed to be some mysterious, untraceable, creepy freak, but everyone knows his name and number?

 

i would like to see them add the option to place a bounty on my own head, though

I voted "im not sure" because its kind of cool to produce a system to have bounties present besides player created ones, but I think it happens far too often. I've had it happen before, let my buddy claim it, and then get another one immediately after. Adopt that system for the npc bounties and change it to be only when you piss of the npc's. Sometimes when you jack a ride you get that guy who wants to fight back and tries to chase you down. That is when it should apply. If you kill that dude, then you shouldnt get a bounty. If you drive off and ignore him then he should be more than capable of calling in a bounty on you. Could make it like when the npc's use their phone and take a picture of your ride. They pull their phone out and say "you're going to pay for this bitch!" or whatever.

They could also apply this to those npc's that get pissed when you crash into them and chase you down in a road rage type fury. Make sure to teach that guy a lesson before you drive off too far and he calls a bounty on your ass.

Back when I was poor and was doing solo sessions race / robbery grinding for RP and pitiful dollars, the NPC bounties were good money.

 

And frankly, if I drop into a freeroam session and forget I have an NPC bounty, I get chased down and killed the same as if I go into freeroam with no bounty.
