Howcome I can't "give cash" to a friend?

The Cop's Capacity mission has a Yellow Mustang that you can sell for 16k if you manage to keep it from blowing up by the end of the mission. I did this mission with a friend and we were able to keep the car safe and eventually sell it when we were done. We were going to split the cash 50-50 as we saw the "give cash" feature. When we tried to split our earnings, we weren't able to do it and only saw the message, "unable to give cash at this time."

 

I hear others can't do it as well unless you're splitting the money from let's say robbing a store or something. Anyone know why this is?

I can't give anything either. Probably because of the exploits(if you want to call it that) and some have tons of money, they don't want it to be spread around.

Seeing as how selling a car isn't a "job," we can't share the big payout of the job, which is the car. So yeah, this is my problem, which I've already stated.

Its the exploiters ruining the game for everyone. Rockstar had to not allow this because some moron with 120 mil from exploiting would give it out to all his buddies, or worse yet, sell in game currency for money online. Only rockstar is allowed to do that.

So is it even possible for them to straighten this out or is this function going to be gutted completely?
