As a result, the Company expects the acquisition to be accretive inboth fiscal years 1999 and 2000. The Company plans to utilize the DMADesign team as a high-end source of creatively diverse product forSony's upcoming PlayStation 2 platform as well as the PC and theInternet. DMA will continue to develop Grand Theft Auto titles forpublication through the Company's Rockstar Games division, includingGTA3D and The Grand Theft Auto Online Crime World. It was announced on the 29th of September that Take Two Interactive were acquiring DMA Design for a cool $US11 million (thats a lot of notes). DMA Design were originally owned by Infogrames Entertainment. This will mean that there will be more GTA games made, and Take 2 will not have to pay royalties for the software anymore.One interesting aspect of the decision was the announcement of two upcoming GTA related titles - GTA3D and The Grand Theft Auto Online Crime World. So far, GTA3D is only in the development stage, and there has been no programming done so far.
