Last tank I saw belonged to a crew member. Previous tank was a random encounter than I scooted off to blaine county to get away from. Previous tank to that was one that popped in my tutorial room some how.

 

I'll say 3 tanks in 5 days of play time is pretty good.

 

Most of those knuckleheads are high level and bored of tanks, or in bad sport. The newer low levels (like the ones that were doing it prior to the sweep) don't have the ability to buy the tank.

I was riding along doing my thing when I crashed my motorcycle. A tank comes by and blows me up. I'm in the middle of the desert in Blaine Co. He blows me up. I respawn 10 feet from him. He blows me up. I respawn 10 feet from him. He blows me up. I respawn in passive. He rides over me. Etc.

 

Just BS. I need to "deal with it?" It's just stupid. Tanks require no skill. Period. People who use tanks in freeroam aren't getting enough action in high school and are taking their anger out by "pwning" randoms IMO.

If they remove tanks then you are removing a fun aspect of the game. I have no doubt that half of the people that want tanks removed are the people that would complain if tanks weren't in the game to begin with.

exactly.

 

If there were no tanks, people would complain.

 

As i said before, switch sessions. Be fast and get away from it. I had to deal with a crew using 3 tanks against me on the highway.

 

I died 10 times or more, and managed to escape. Switched session and no more problems.

I think most reasonable people on this forum agree that a nerf would be the better idea as opposed to removing them completely, removing them fully is just ridiculous.

I agree with the original poster that they should remove tanks...

 

... and while they're at it, let's remove sticky bombs because people use them to blow up PVs.

... and let's remove the Entity because you can't shoot through the back window, and that's just not fair.

... in fact, let's just remove PVs so no one will get upset if they lose it.

... and Heavy Sniper rifles. Those are bad.

... and bongs.

... and anything with a wheel.

... and NPCs, because they can't drive and they smell like butter.

... and cliffsides, cuz it's not fair you can't climb up them without sliding down.

... and sliding, because it's not fun.

... and... really, do I need to go on???

I'm quite indifferent to Tanks.

 

The only time i use mine is to combat other players in Tanks and i don't see them that often. That and the occasional catharsis of obliterating as many police as possible.

 

Keep them or get rid of them: I don't really care.

 

 

It can, however, be quite irritating to escape a player in a Tank when cars refuse to spawn and it takes so damn long to hotwire a vehicle that by the time the engine's running its in range with the barrel aimed squarely at you.

I will reveal the best ways to DEAL WITH IT.

 

HATERS, PAY ATTENTION.

 

If you have a tank, and someone is griefing the lobby with another tank, call pegasus, get your tank, go off radar when you're close, and shoot him in the back. The guy will go nuts.

 

That's the best one imo:

 

If you don't have a tank, go in passive mode, and when you're near the tank, go off radar. Run for it and hold triangle (if you're on ps3) to steal it. This will piss him off and he won't be able to get another tank. Enjoy it and grief him.

 

It's a temporary solution..

Passive mode needs a major revamp anyway. It can be completely useless at times, or abused to hell and back. As many people have suggested, bring back the friendly fire/non-friendly fire system that was in place in RDR and GTA:IV.

Tanks don't kill people, idiots in tanks kill people. I for one love getting in my rhino. I'll cruise the whole city and not intensionally kill a player. Don't get me wrong, I'll kill ya if you come looking for a fight but I've also had lots of fun trying to help people out or just having them follow me round. Getting rid of tanks is a bad idea, getting rid of griefers is the solution we need

No, they shouldn't remove them, but they should give us better weapons to fight them, like a stinger missile launcher

Stinger is anti air wouldn't do jack sh*t to a tank, make the rpg actually work like a rpg then it'll be good.

 

A new or improved weapon would actually be a reasonable fix, although it would have to take some small effort to use it can't just instantly blow up a tank in a split second, maybe a small cast time to the rocket shooting.

Simple solution to slow down the rate of tank dickheads is to raise the pegasus price for delivery. I Emailed rockstar suggesting it cost $9000 to order the tank as I feel thats a balanced number seeing as its the max bounty win.

A high risk/reward system would definitely reduce the people trying to use tanks to player grief, seems more realistic to happening than them just adding a new weapon specifically for tanks.

As I see it I am sure they are going to raise the price for delivery. Another theory I have is anyone that bought the tank with gifted or not hack money - myself included (gifted) could have it removed from the pegasus list so it must be bought again.

 

another suggestion - to which I might suggest to rockstar is to have the tank ordering on a timer so you cannot get one over and over, but rather only 1 every ten or fifteen minutes (Unless you are blown up by another tank driver which could let you re order it straight away)

 

Perhaps add pegasus delivery time gets longer and longer the more bad sport you get/kill passive players, so by the time they have done their dickless tank rampage and finally been destroyed by someone, its gonna have like 30 mins to an Hour or even longer (real time) before they can get another.
