Why do I keep getting the same missions over and over again online?

I am still getting used to playing online but the missions are really bugging me because I can't seem to get any new missions. When I am in free roam I keep getting missions sent to me that I have already completed. Anyone know what is going on? Do I need to level up to get new missions?

 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The main guys seem to have their own style of missions. They do get harder and more diverse as you level up. You also get awesome features as you level up. Stuff like

getting an attack chopper to aid you in combat, having ammo brought to you, and Brucie from IV gives you Shark Testosterone to make you tougher while in combat (not sure how that works, I haven't used it yet).

 

 

I'm only at level 21 currently, so I still have a lot to do.

 

The phone missions piled on with the other missions, parachuting, races, deathmatches, survivals, gang attacks, etc... it gets really fun as you level up.

Same problem. $9000 ones are hard to come by.

I keep getting the same missions, too. There are a ton of missions to complete as well. There are also some of my friends who have had the missions opened up for them at the same level I'm at. For instance, at level 24 you are supposed to have a mission from Lester opened up that is called A Titan of a Job. I'm a 30 and haven't gotten this job yet. I call Lester alllllll the time and he keeps giving me Landing Strip.

 

This link will take you to a list of jobs by all the guys you come across, what levels you should be at, payouts and RP. Anybody know anything else, please help! I've even emailed Rockstar for support with this.

Thanks for the responses. The link really helped Bison. It must be a combination of level and randomness since I haven't gotten a couple of the missions that should be available to me.

 

If I am in a closed invite session with one of two friends when I join a mission, race, etc.. do the people I am with automatically get put on my team? It also appears there are green check marks next to certain scenarios. Does that mean I have played them or that I have beaten them?

Sorry if the questions are dumb. I am still trying to fully grasp how the online system works.
