OK Someone PLEASE Explain to me how this works.... I did this with a friend and got like 400 RP for coming 1st...EXPLANATION PLS.

Getting 100rp going through checkpoints, 600rp for coming in 1st. It's adding up quickly but haven't seen a massive amount like the OP said. Haven't figured it out yet.

Ya it's not working for me either. I tried it as host and without. Still getting like 1k rp per race. Still thanks to the OP for the method. 7k would have been awesome.

what is giving the high RP, is because in personal best mode, every time you beat your best lap you get the big RP bonus. But for some reason, EACH TIME you start the race, you can get that bonus no matter what.

 

The first lap is always slowest because you start from a stop. So once you go around once, you get a personal best lap bonus. Then the second lap is always faster than the first one (it should be) because you are starting the lap at high speed. So you get 2x Best lap bonuses + RP for the check points + the RP from finishing the race.

 

So the glitch aparently is that we should NOT be getting the personal BEST bonus every race. That personal best number should stay for every race you do and NOT reset like it does each race. That way the ONLY real way to get new personal best laps would be by actually beating your previous best lap that SHOULD BE SAVED, BUT ITS NOT IN THIS CASE.

Don't see how people struggle with this? Really is as simple as turning up, adjusting the settings and racing fast and cleanly. You get the XP as you lap, at the end you get a little extra. So simple.

I'm getting like a bar and a half doing the first lap and half a bar on second lap. Then about 1.1k coming first and about 650 coming second. Level up about every 4. Decent enough.

This is how it works, yes, but no one's confused or cares about that. The issue is that it appears to be a crapshoot whether or not you get the gains you're supposed to (which since it scales leads to dumb situations like people mad they're not gaining 7k at like level 4 or whatever but those "issues" can be ignored because they're idiots).

 

The issue is that for some people it works no matter what, for some people it only works when they host and for some people it doesn't work at all. Knowing how and why it's a glitch in the first place does not fix this.
