How do you restart missions?

People are saying even after the update there is still a way to quickly restart missions, how?

ive tried alot of things to restart missions like spamming buttons. but nothing seems to work after the patch, i think the only way you can restart missions now is if you fail the mission

the trick we've discovered by accident is a bit about timing, let's say rooftop rumble.

one guy does the mission, someone joins and spectates.
when he's done he DOES NOT VOTE AT ALL, the spectator can pick restart but he can't.
spectator picks restart, game starts with 2 players. a spectator joins, picks restart, game starts with 3 players.
a spectator joins, hit restart, game starts with 4 players.

From here on out I'm not sure what happens, if another spectator joins and restarts, what happens, because it's a 4 player mission but it has 4 players + 1 spectator

We've had this happen to us by accident where someone picked restart and we couldn't figure out why, then we realized it's a spectator. Have used this just once to see if we were right, this is the theory I came up with. until the game is full it should work, after that, no idea.
