SLEEPING online: Whats the point

hi,

 

just curious whats the point of making your character sleep in your apartment while online..?

 

I checked the clock before making my guy sleep. and when I got out of bed, the time did not change at all...?

Its probably for the role playing aspect, if you wish to play the game that way..

Well, think about the other players in the lobby. How would it work out for them every time someone slept and advanced the game/ time by 12 hours? They would see the sky changing instantly or everyone would be on a different time of the game even if they were in the same server.

by the way.. sleeping in your bed online does not replenish your health..

 

I checked it last time i was on, went back to my apt, I had half health.. went into the bed.. it did not increase health.. neither removed blood/bruises... only taking shower removes blood/bruises.. and does not increase health either..

Correct me if i'm wrong but if not sleeping, the server will kick you after idling for 10 or 15 minutes. While in bed you won't be kicked even if you step away from the game for 45 minutes.

ok.. thats good then.. and makes sense..

therefore other then that.. sleeping has no purpose..

Lol! You do realize this thread is 5 years old, right? Back then, two characters could not share a bed. That feature wasn't added until later, 2015 or 2016 if I recall.

 

Either way, it's not even really sleeping, but rather just resting. It's also never removed those hideous bruises that I've received from certain missions or car crashes; I usually have to exit to SP and back in order for them to vanish. Ugh, it drives me insane; I've always disliked this feature so much!
