Why the heck does anyone care about interiors?

Recommended Posts

"Waa waa this game is so f*cking sh*t, waa waa, where are the f*cking interiors? Waa" = every ten year old hater on here.

But why? I think it's a masterpiece. Sure there are a few very minor niggles, but I expected that (and maybe this is the problem, the young immature amongst us hyped this up so much to be the perfect game which it was never going to be go disappointed, still it is better than the borefest of IV in every single way)

But anyway one of the key criticisms seems to be that there aren't enough enterable interiors in the game, and I really can't understand why this is a problem. I mean what the hell are you gonna do with them? Walk into a building, go "hmm, this is quite nice" and walk out again? What the hell is there to do in a Cluckin' Bell or a hopsital other than shoot people or walk around? And why do you need interiors to do that? Why not do this in the glitz of the city or the beauty of the countryside? Why are interiors so essential to your fun?

I would happily have played this game without any interiors. Yep, there I said it.

I seriously don't get it, I don't get the negative reputation the game has on this board over a bunch of f*cking interiors. They work great in missions because you have the story and an objective driving you through them, plus that beautiful score to add intensity to the experience. But on free roam? What can you really do with a bunch of bloody rooms? They're rooms for chrissakes! Why does this detract so much from the experience that everyone has to rant about it all the time? I literally don't understand it.

I would have liked an enterable casino but that's about it, I just like to play blackjack. But it's not a big deal to me.

I really liked the interiors that were included in the various missions and it's troubling that I can't free roam in them. I have designed interiors in Second Life and I appreciate the designs in GTAV. So it matters to me.

If more buildings had multiple entries and exits it would certainly add to the thrill of a cop chase to duck in and out of a building. Imagine hiding inside one as they surround the outside of it to keep you from running out or ducking between aisles of a supermarket. Yes the actual city itself is very well done and the little details are amazing, but interiors add a splash of immersion to the experience and make it even better. It's not a game breaker but it is one of many small things Rockstar got wrong with V in my opinion.

Just wait for the ps4 version.

The PS4 version is going to be exactly like current gen. (with maybe the exception of extra weapons and vehicles). It is going to be digital download only.

R* has already said they are not making a PS4/Xbox1 version....

Civil Code

Definitions of Fraud and Deceit

1573. Constructive fraud consists:

1. In any breach of duty which, without an actually fraudulent intent, gains an advantage to the person in fault, or anyone claiming under him, by misleading another to his prejudice, or to the prejudice of anyone claiming under him; or,

2. In any such act or omission as the law specially declares to be faaudulent, without respect to actual fraud.

Definitions of Fraud and Deceit

1710. A deceit, withing the meaning of the last section, is either:

1. The suggestion, as a fact, of that which is not true, by one who does not believe it to be true;

2. The assertion, as a fact, of that which is not true, by one who has no reasonable ground for believing it to be true;

3. The suppression of a fact, by one who is bound to disclose it, or who gives information of other facts which are likely to mislead for want of communication of that fact; or,

4. A promise, made without any intention of performing it.

In other words.... if R* does decide to make a next gen version... they gonna be paying out more money than they're going to make.

Although it's not particularly game breaking I was hoping we'd get a airport and shopping mall interior. Cant believe that feat was achieved 11 years ago in VC and the later games haven't been able to replicate or better it. :/

I can't speak for everyone else on this matter but I personally feel there should've been way more interiors than we were given. In previous installments you were able to enter shops, hospitals, police stations etc and it made sense but when one of the most hyped up Grand Theft Autos to date doesn't even allow you to enter a 'business' you purchased or even a fast food store for health, then that says a lot.

Imo GTA V took a step backwards in regards to accessible buildings and it was disappointing. This is a massive free roam game, am I correct? Then there should be more freedom to enter properties. There's no excuse for the lack of interiors, the little things do count as well.

People care about interiors because this is a boring ass map to explore since there's no interiors. There's no feeling that you might stumble upon an enterable building and discover something. Also, in GTA IV multiplayer pretty much all me and my friends did was shootouts with the cops in interiors and it was fun as f*ck. You can't do shootouts outside, especially in V where the helicopter snipers shoot you once and you're dead.

It's more like people who defend GTA V keeps making others opinions next level.

"I feel like this game lacks...." = "This game sucks, it has no..." to the GTAV defenders.

I don't have any hard feeling for you guys, not like i care either, but people should stop pulling words out of others mouth

As for interiors, i started the series from GTA VC, and it had like what? 2 restaurants. It was nice addition to me having a place to camp inside and shoot the police outside the door. In GTA SA and IV, i would often go in clucking bell or restaurants and hospital to stir things up, making my own robbing story.

GTA V made me sad that it doesn't have those. But still i appreciate the works and details they put into the game. Just that i feel like the map or the game overall would be much better with some interiors making it more lively

It's not about not having interiors, it's more about having ones taken away that were in the previous installment. I assume they did this because they did not want an over abundance of robbable shops for online, but I'm sure there were some things they could have done. Also having a couple more places wouldn't have hurt.

Because there's loads of whiny bitches on here and they need something to bitch about.

Like whiny bitches bitching and whining about whiny bitches. Makes sense. Thanks for your contribution to the thread. :dontgetit: NOT

I wanted more interiors. The few that we got are nicely detailed and lit. And I can excuse the lack of interiors, because they used all the available polygons for the large and complex city and the extended draw distance.

:colgate: I'm just really glad that Franklin got a Vinewood Hills home with a real interior. I felt so gypped in GTA SA when we finally got to buy the re-imagined Stahl House (see my sig) and it had no corresponding interior, even though the first GTA SA trailer showed that house with an interior.

I just don't understand sure GTA IV had more interiors than V but they were from missions and didn't really serve any purpose after the game. They were just there. I feel with V that sure they had less interiors but they put more effort into different things, more important things.

if we had more interiors(and my knowledge in technician isnt great)we'd probably have to sacrifice the graphics, physics engine, features etc. though some of you will be like "ok sure i woulda been fine with that".if that was really done then we would have threads like:

"graphics was dumbed down?what a stepback!"

"the physics in this game...not impressed, didnt improve"

"not enough content?!why couldnt they have fitted in more!"

bottom line:we want more more more and in reality its like yo,we cant have it all.

Interiors were a fundmental stratergy piece of freemode wars in GTAIV.

Legendary players like myself were eager to seek out interiors in GTAV from the get go so we could get a good handle on safe zones and hideouts should free mode wars in GTAV get heavy.

However upon release of GTAO it came to light that the free mode we once knew had been retired for a more co-op driven experience and the need for these safe zones and hideouts have been rendered unnessasery. You can't have a 16 person airport battle that lasts 6 hours in GTAV like you could in GTAIV because of medical bills, the lack of weapon pick ups and persistant aircraft spawns.

There may be some interiors but they serve little use in this multiplayer structure.

It's not just about adding pointless interiors, it's about adding interiors that have stuff to do inside. It's strange that in the entirety of southern San Andreas that there's only one enterable bar and so only one place to play darts.

The stadium could have had a proper interior rather than just the outside bits where you could do stunt trials or something, like GTA VC & SA. You could have been able to enter the airport and take a fast-travel flight to the landing strips in the desert/country. Banks could have been like shops but robbed through a more complex minigame like having to blow open the safe. Clubs could play music and bring back the dancing mini-game that TBOGT had. There's plenty of things that can be done with interiors.

Nobody is asking for more interiors than are already in the game (well some would like enterable Burger Shot's/Cluckin Bell's/Up-n-Atom's), just that some mission interiors be unlocked in SP freeroam.

lack of interiors doesnt bother me at all. for example of all the "interiors" in gta 4 i only when in to my aparment and sometimes into cluckin bell during my killing spread.

apart from that i dont enter any interior. so the lack of them dont bother me. is not like im playing "interior designer" career on the Sims 3.
