Online Autosave Disabled?

My online game was running fine (save for my saved, modded vehicles disappearing over and over) until i ran the latest patch (10/10), and now when i try to go online, the game tells me autosave will be disabled. I accidentally accepted on that the first time and it told me i needed to create a temporary character. I backed out after that, remembering that's been character-deleting fiasco.

I've been trying to get on all day and can't do so without an "autosave will be disabled" screen. Is anyone else having this issue? Anybody know a fix? I have emailed and tweeted Rockstar and i'm not holding my breath for a response.
