Vehicle stats glitch?

So I have noticed my max speed is 120 when my cars max speed is like 140. I am using the entity. And I have also noticed people keeping up with me who shouldn't be able too. We all need to report these glitches to Rockstar because they make every car the same and with the amount of bugs in the game these two issues are definitely glitches/bugs.

Are you talking free roam or in races?

 

And how do you know the cars speed?? I've never noticed a setting to show speed in the GUI.
