How do you see who is talking on GTA 5 online?

During GTA 4 multiplayer, there was an indicator which displayed who was talking, but that is not apparant in GTA 5 online. I pressed down to view the user list, but I don't see any speakers beside their name while they talk. This is critical because there are annoying 13 year olds that need killing.

click pause, online ,players you will see them talk and a mic next to there name.

Start Menu- Online- Players- Toggle Mute. Something like that.
