Lol, so pissed. Just found one on second attempt, drove to LS but was really careful because there was someone there. They went into LS, so i legged it down. they came out shot me and then pinched it and got it to their garage.

Who the hell goes to LSC in the middle of the city when you found a car you want and want to insure it? Drive to the one by the airport.

People cant be that stupid, right? "oh, a car I have been searching for, let me drive straight into the war zone of LSC to insure it"

 

It doesn't always happen, believe it or not. I managed to track and insure a couple of (glitched) vehicles using that LSC. Of course I do a quick look at the map first to see if there's anyone nearby, and I can always leg it straight past that LSC to my downtown apartment if I smell trouble.

 

OT: I was searching for one a while back, and if I remembered correctly some ped was driving on the roads between the Richards Majestic Studio and the golf course (was driving between spawn locations) after god knows how long. I still have it, but I've gotten tired of it and only ever occasionally drive it out in public servers (with an ignition bomb, no less)

I've been seeing it spawn after playing golf if the game puts me back in a daylight server. I've not had it on my list in quite a while and got one a couple days ago upon spawning into the club parking lot. I've never been an HPV hunter, but I did stumble across an HPV Tailgator before I acquired mine after golf. I tried to put it in my garage with no luck, nor was there an option for Loss/Theft Prevention at LSC. I don't know if not being able to take ownership of an HPV is a new thing(thought I heard of people getting the Tailgator this way)but others should be aware this isn't going to work anymore.

It took me a good 10 hours to find it over two days of looking, eventually I drove down to the tennis car park at the beach and it was there, I was driving a Zentorno so I'm guessing the car didn't matter.

What I did took me roughly a half hour, but just set spawn to last known location and spawn near the tennis courts on the beach across from the chopper pad area. If it isn't there, search for a new session. I regret selling it since Broughy's vid shows the Schafter being the best. I originally sold my Schafter for the Tailgator only to sell it again for a Schafter. Now since I have the space, I want both so I'll probably try searching for it again eventually.

so today im in an invite lobby,and Simeon is looking for a Tailgater,I have to admit,I havent played SP in so long I dont even know what one looks like.

So on a whim I head over to the golf course,and of course it wasnt there,so I drive around some more,find a Bagger,grab that,head back to the golf course and low and behold....Tailgater spawns

So i snagged it,modded it and garaged it....my question is,,,

Now what? Its not the best coupe and I already have an Exemplar...so what the hell is it good for? Im not being a dick,I really want to know what advantage does owning one have over any other car?

It's not a Coupe, it's a Sedan. Some might disagree, but I think it's the best Sedan. I have both an Exemplar and a Tailgater, but drive around in the Exemplar and use the Tailgater for hardly ever happens Sedan racing.

Took me two weeks but finally got one again. Invite only session called for a heli in Sandy Shores then flew to the Observatory and there it was.

I've been in a couple in the last few months. I used to have the theory that races were probably 80 percent Supers, 10 percent Sports and 10 percent everything else, but I think I may be short-changing the Super races. It gets old.

 

I would encourage any total beginning racer to save up for a Super, get the Elegy as a free Sports car and don't worry so much about the rest. They hardly ever pop up. You could maybe get a Sanchez for off-roading.

Before today, I've only seen one Tailgater, which is mine. But today I saw three. Two were High Priority Vehicles. The other one was around Cypress Flats. It was driving wildly. I tried to chase it, but the damn Buccaneer was too slow.

I've found 5 Tailgaters total. Two at the observatory, two at the golf course, and one at the movie studio. I've given one to a friend, modded my own, and have three uninsured in my garage. I plan on having a garage full of tailgaters - or at least one half side.

 

It's an awesome car to cruise around in. Sure it's not the fastest but it has perfect balance and weight with great control and braking (imo). The acceleration is lacking but once it's moving it has superb maneuverability in and around traffic. It also looks so frickin sleak all black with chrome trim.

They spawn in the rooftop rumble car park as well, I got one from the rooftop rumble car park then drove to the golf course car park and another was parked in bay 3, I really don't find it hard to have them spawn even without a text off Simeon.

Different strokes for different folks , sure the Tailgater is not the fastest car in the game, but its not meant to be a super car.

 

I just love mine for its handling.

This is the car i want the most. Forget the high end supers, i want this. Ive looked everywhere and still cant find one. Are we even sure its in gtao?

Not sure how I found my Tailgater online, but I'll restate that it does exist in Online mode. I haven't seen any others yet that aren't owned by players already. So good luck searching for it.

You haven't ran across me yet in game on the PS3 then. I mix it up since i'm tired of racing nothing but Super's which is all the kids want to do. Motorcycles are being done allot also, but not as bad as Super's.
