How would YOU fix the bad sport system?

Heres how I would like the bad sport to be like:

 

1. If someone is pointing a gun at you, you are allowed 1 free shot at them for self defense & if that 1 shot just happens to be the head & they die oh well too bad for that sucka.

 

2. If you destroy someones personal car & they have insurance on it you have to pay double the amount of insurance. Example, if the insurance for their car is say $500, you have to pay $1,000 for being a dick. Also, Rockstar needs to have it where a pop up that will say the person you are trying to kill is driving a personal car.

 

3. If someone has a bounty you can kill them for the bounty but killing them when they don't have that bounty anymore will give you a warning to stop or else.

 

4. Killing someone 3 times in a row will make you a bad sport.

 

5. If someone kills you, you allowed a free kill on them without getting a bad sport warning

 

So yeah thats how I would like the bad sport system to be like & now I would like to know how you guys would fix the bad sport system.

1st you dont get bad boy points for killing players

 

 

YOU ONLY GET BAD BOY FOR DESTROYING VEHICLES!! AND LEAVING MATCHES! its perfect as it is gets rid of the outright destructive players. But keeps the GTA feeling.

It also gets rid of the players who use everything in their arsenal to collect bounties so stfu bunny

Why the hell do you want to make it worse? Your post is incredibly stupid. So no killing in GTA now becahse its a teletubies kiddie game? We need PvP servers that have it gone. I would only exist for players who cheat. Edited by ProGamerGov

Blowing up someones car when they aren't in it should be the only way to get a bad sport, The leaving missions early penalty i think is ok. Lol @ OP's suggestions, Sounds like you are just a scrub who keeps dying and want an easy way out, This is a life of crime son! You need to harden the f*ck up!

I think it's fine the way it is,

 

Although R* could DEF give the players more clarifying as to what actions are considered "bad sportsmanship" because they are extremely vague.

I've found that players are exploiting this to bully other players. Running them over and shooting them knowing they can't retaliate.

 

I was watching one guy doing it to another on my apartment TV a couple of hours ago, so I got my muscle car with heavy protection and kept blocking him from getting away from the cops. He had bullet proof tyres but the cops eventually killed him and destroyed his car. It then got impounded, so I followed him to the pound and killed him just as he was about to get in it.

 

What they should do is if one player attacks another with their car, then the other person is allowed to destroy that car.

I don't see the problem with blowing cars up, if you have it insured you can get it back anyway.

Just make a FFA game mode where people have the entire map to blow sh*t up with no penalties, and keep the current system in place for everything else (with tweaks).

Leaving missions and cheating only.

 

If someone repeatedly kills me, they get to have a chat with merry weather and my crew.

Change it so that one only gets any sort of "bad sport" points for camping and repeatedly killing another player as they respawn.

It's pretty damned stupid that blowing up cars, which is a part of this game, gets you in "trouble."
It's pretty silly that disconnecting from a mission midway gets you points. What if the connection were interrupted (as isn't uncommon now)? Why punish somebody for that? Really, why punish somebody for leaving anything they don't want to do any more?

I ride my chopper around and often have griefers trying to run me down with those big sandking XL things, I pull out my sawn off (such an epic feeling) and blast them, If you shoot them in the back you hit their gas tank and they explode. I have even blown one up from one shot before, And i get the bad sport? What am i meant to let them kill me and lose money? Or i have to be careful where i aim? Bit difficult when you are on a bike with a shotty...

I agree with the idea that destroying someone's car while they're in it, as long as you get the insurance penalty, should not be a bad sport offence. Destroying someone's car while they are away from it should.

 

What's more important than fixing the bad sport issues at the moment, in my opinion, is introducing a "respawned from mission" cooldown time. For example, I had just collected a car from Simeon (from his text message list), as soon as I grabbed the car and resprayed it I headed for the docks. A player followed me all the way and after I came out of the garage from dropping the car off... BAM! I be dead.

 

That's a little flawed. I expect a 10-15 invincibility period from other players during situations like that. If he wishes to follow me after the cooldown period, it's game on. At least I've had a bit of time to get my sh*t together.

You also get a badsport warning if you leave the lobby after a mission which is annoying. Not like quiting mid mission, it's over so they should let you leave if need be without penalty. Otherwise you have to select freemode and wait for the timer to go down and then it take ages to f*cking load freemode. Ridiculous!

That would be fine if that's what everybody wanted, but it isn't.

 

As I said, opening up a FFA game mode with no restrictions and penalties is the better answer. It doesn't hurt other players, the guys who just want to f*ck sh*t up get what they want, it doesn't divide the community, and it's easy to implement.
