Bad sport is flawed

A guy starts shooting me and chasing me in his car. I throw a sticky bomb out of my car, blow him up... get a bad sport warning. So he can shoot me, but if I retaliate, I am the one that gets punished? What?

 

I've emailed Rockstar to suggest that if someone damages you or your personal vehicle in any way, you should be able to retaliate against them, their vehicle or both with no penalty.

 

I just know I'm going to end up with a bad sport rating!

I think the assholes who troll around the map just looking to shoot people just for the thrill of it should get sent to the bad sport servers lol

This. Exactly this. Bad sport as it is, is completely stupid. I'll be a bad sport, and that idiot will still be shooting random people.

Why do you think R* put death matches in the game bro ? What does one get out of just driving around the map and sneaking up and blasting someone ? Where is the fun in spawn killing? theres no skill involved. No its just trolls who don't want to play the game the way R* intended for it to be played. So they created a server for players who want to play that way so they could play with each other and not ruin the game for others ...unfortunately there is no punishment for people that just want to troll around shooting everything that moves

How do you know if you are in a bad sport lobby? Is it only if you have a dunce cap or is that the most extreme?

 

I received 2 warnings yesterday for bad sport. One was during a mission because I blew up a Lost biker van which then created a cascade explosion and blew up 4 other cars including my teammates personal car. The other was because I was in a 4 star police chase and some idiot got in the way, even though I warned him to stay away.

 

It doesn't make sense to me. Insurance on most cars is half of what healthcare bills are for most people so why is destroying a car a bad sport to begin with? It's OK to kill people and rack up their healthcare bills but don't wreck an insured lifeless vehicle???
