Why should we get BAD SPORT for defending ourselves?

Yeah ideally it would be if you're being attacked, blowing up the attacker's car doesn't give you bad sport.

It is pretty stupid. I had a bounty on my head the other day and had like 5 people coming after me so I threw a sticky on the ground and blew them up as soon as they drove over it. This made me a bad sport. Apparently I can't defend myself from 5 people without becoming a bad sport.

That is the first good example I've heard of why this feature needs tweaking.

The other day I was waiting for my friend to rob a store. I saw a white dot heading towards me at a high rate of speed. The dude was coming straight for me, his intention was very clear, he was going to make me a hood ornament.

 

When I went to grab my pistol, I noticed I still had one RPG left from the survival round I had just played. I am sure you can tell how this will end. I destroyed his car and him but the wreck of metal that was once his vehicle impaled me into a wall and I was killed as well.

 

I got a good laugh and also a BAD SPORT rating, but ya know what.....it was worth it.

So I was in a store trying to hold it up when Simeon called me and a f*cking cutscene appeared. A guy robbed the same store I was in, then waited outside for me to go out. When I went out, he and police shot me to death. I respawned nearby, killed him, took his car and blew it up with a gas trail out there. I then took a break and exited. When I went online again I got a good sport bonus. This really seems random to me lol.

Agreed, they need to fix the system because people are wising up to it and are using it to an advantage. Just never leave your car and grief folks as long as you can with a Bad Sport shield in place. R* needs to hurry up and open their forum. This does seem like a tough fix, code wise.

Heh, I accidentally stole a personal vehicle last night in down town LS (after the owner had killed me for no apparent reason other than he could).

 

Got a message saying that it was somebody elses car, and then a second later I have a bounty on my head. I proceeded to drive the car cross country towards Chilliad and completely trash it in the process, so that even if I died, the owner would have a trashed car and would have to do a mega hike to get it.

 

This was one of the last photos I got of it -

 

 

Ended up leaving it in slightly worse condition and parked half in the river.

 

Got my revenge, paid no insurance, got no bad sport. As I said, you don't have to destroy other peoples cars......completely.

 

You know that all they have to do is call their mechanic to pick up the car right???? Your efforts were worthless.....lol
