Why should we get BAD SPORT for defending ourselves?

Someone is gunning you down and you defend yourself by blowing up their car. Bad sport warning? That's pretty ridiculous don't you think?

Well if that warning is making you chuckle this will make you historical. I am now getting into bad sport lobbies for two full days, as if you have a little rough fun with friends and crew mates I.e. Demo derby you are a BAD SPORT. It's quite funny isn't it. So I've decided to not play the game at all and give myself a rest from the moronic beast that is Rockstar.

But another fun fact is that you don't have to blow up other users cars to defend yourself, and it's misleading to suggest otherwise.

Heh, I accidentally stole a personal vehicle last night in down town LS (after the owner had killed me for no apparent reason other than he could).

 

Got a message saying that it was somebody elses car, and then a second later I have a bounty on my head. I proceeded to drive the car cross country towards Chilliad and completely trash it in the process, so that even if I died, the owner would have a trashed car and would have to do a mega hike to get it.

 

This was one of the last photos I got of it -

 

 

Ended up leaving it in slightly worse condition and parked half in the river.

 

Got my revenge, paid no insurance, got no bad sport. As I said, you don't have to destroy other peoples cars......completely.

Damaging people's cars would be more funny if the damage stayed until they got it repaired. But if you join a new session your vehicle gets repaired and if it's not impounded, it will be right next to you.

I proceeded to drive the car cross country towards Chilliad and completely trash it in the process, so that even if I died, the owner would have a trashed car and would have to do a mega hike to get it.

Genius. *high 5* I stole somebody's SandKing after they kept gunning me down in free roam... and put a tracker, insurance, and modded it like crazy. It's my favorite ride.

I struggle with the C4, its one of the best ways to capture a bounty, I shouldn't be punished for attempting to fullfill a bounty anyway I can. yet I blow a car up and I'm warned. Ahh GTA, what a world.

Some of you folks are way too sensitive to be playing this game methinks.

 

If someone messes with you, you have the right to defend yourself in any way possible. I've never blown up anyone's PV myself, but if I had to, I wouldn't think twice. Nobody cares if they totally trash my ride, even if it's unprovoked...so why shouldn't I be able to destroy their ride when it IS provoked?

 

And it having your PV blown up REALLY such a big deal? I mean sure it's annoying when it happens, but come on...It's not like it's gone forever and it's quicker to get it back than if it's impounded. Hell, it bothers me more when people shoot out my tires...then I have to drive all the way out to a freaking pay n spray. It'd be easier just to call up the insurance company and go and retrieve my ride.

Agreed. I've actually got my car unlocked constantly now because I got sick of having to change it every time I started a mission, and I don't really care if it gets stolen or destroyed. I get it back eventually.

i was touring around in a buzzard attack chopper when someone from the ground shot up at me wounding me, being in an attack chopper i took it as a challenge.. 2 well placed rockets later i killed the guy who just happened to be hiding behind his car and apparently this makes me a bad sport.

 

whats the point of having tanks and attack choppers if using them is a punishable offence.. i rather just pay the persons insurance cost for them.
